All the other times were already taken when we had the idea to sign up.

Paul;
I seem to remember that during my setup I had the same problem. You may have to
much pitch in the prop in the fine pitch position. .Look in the Airmaster installation
instructions. There is a section on setting the Fine pitch and also
the Coarse pitch.
Make a small change then run the engine up again to check the results.
I would set the RPM at 5700 static rpm. Then on the take off run the prop will
unload some due to the forward movement through the air. This way you will not
exceed 5800 rpm on the take off run.
With you developing 34 inches at 5100 , the turbo is working as it is supposed
to. Once you reach 5800 you should see 39 or 40 inches. I think that once the
rpm is set correctly that you will see and hear when the turbo goes to full boost.

I would have expected 5500~5800 RPM. I have checked the throttle and it is moving
to full open. The tach is an EIS engine monitor and I have no reason to
suspect it is incorrect

gate might not be set correctly. I removed the cable from the servo and
it might not be in the correct position. Can anyone tell me how to set it correctly.
Conversely, .... 34" is 100% power, could the TCU be limiting it? if
so what parameters can do this. I only one I know is the air box temperature.

Hi! All you knowledgeable chaps.
I'm busy making a Vacuum mould for a obsolete fin strobe lens. Anyone have any
guide lines on temperatures and draw angles, lubrication, sealants likely vacuum
pressures or lack of it !Please. Alternatively anyone know where Gold Wing
got their lenses made before they went belly up.

I rather think they made a tactical withdrawal from the market, after taking
numerous paid-up orders that were never delivered.
Presumably the Kunzleman (Airworld) fin covers are no good to you?
I was going down a similar route to provide a more streamlined cover over a
cylindrical fresnel lense. If you make a wooden plug of what you want, it
may be possible to persuade an aeromodeller canopy maker to do the rest.
I'll be interested to learn of your experience/progress with this.
Rgds.,
Duncan.

Bob,
Graham Singleton is now manufacturing wing tip lenses and has quite a bit of
expertise in this area. I do know that he is using a mold / stretch
technique for this.

Hi! Duncan
This forum is the most amazing source of information .... within two hours
of my message going out a kind chap at Boeing "patched" me 8 pages of method
and temperature suggestions! Should you wish I can send it through?
The Air World one stands too high to get into my trailor safely and has a
different base, the existing Gold Wing one needs to be only about 1/4 inch
higher to be futher away from the heat of the bulb.
I've had a female plug roughly cut in aluminium but have a lot of "burring"
to do to get the final shape cut out then I was going to try the vacuum
thing. Just skip reading the 8 page detail above it could be possible to do
with some combination of methods.
regards
