I made a female mold of the area extending beyond the actual area, carefully cut away the section of the wing tip that I was going to replace with a clear lens, dropped that section into the mold and scribed a line in the mold above the edge of the cut out part. I cut the mold down to about 1/2" above the scribed line and bondoed(sp?) legs on the mold to support it so that I has a 'trough'(mold) that sat horizontally on the table. In the bottom I drilled a small hole 3/16"? and then bondoed a hose barb fitting onto the bottom of the mold assembly. I was worried about the hole creating an imperfection, but you don't get the plexi that hot, it never showed.) I welded up a small angle iron frame about 2" larger in all directions than the top of the mold and made a second frame that fit into the first in the opposite direction. The plexi goes between the two frames and then goes in the oven. When held in place by metal spring clames I got sufficient grip around the circumference of the frames. The clamps also work well to support the assembly on wood blocks in the oven. I found that 340 degrees F works well. The plexi starts to smoke, so have a vent on. Place the hot filmy plexi over the mold and using a good canister vacuume at pretty much full suction, and through the hose barb draw the part into the mold. You'll likely have to make a 'step down' adapter. I used a PVC pipe end cap that I drilled a hole in for a corresponding hose barb and then duct taped the end cap to the end of one of the vacuume's extension tubes. Mark the part where the scribe lines are in the mold and cut the excess away, and trim and fit. It will be a little difficult to mark the scribed line exactly due to parallax when viewing through the plexi, but the trim and fit doesn't take too long. I had to make a corresponding insert in each wing on which to mount the nav light and have tabs into which the lens could be screwed. I formed this up out of aluminum, but we'll save that for another edition. Just got one with the Norton Antivirus Deleted1.txt virus. I get a LOT of those - the email addresses are spoofed by the perp. I actually got one from "noreply" @ [my URL name] (I'm not going to put it out there again!), stating that there has been excessive virus activity coming from my email account. It was signed from the [URL name].com team. I *am* the team. :-) There is so much of it out there, and the Bagle virus variants don't even require opening the attachment - the virus will propagate if the email is viewed. In a nutshell you probably cant without shutting down all e-mail communication. My ISP is now filtering out a great deal but it could be coming from anyone on this lists Computer (PC). Carrying out the Death penalty on the original Virus 'builders' would be a way forward! In the cause of evolution of course! BTW. This is from a Mac running OSX so all should be well! It's aggrevating I know. All I can do is let the Norton stop them and then delete them. I would not be without Norton antivirus to filter it all. I have it and it automatically updates itself as new strains are identified. I get about 5-8 per day. There is likely an attachment or two contained in the message that is a copy of the virus. These messages aren't coming from Matronics.Com. If you use an email application like Eudora, you can have a closer look at the headers (by clicking on the "Bla bla bla" button in Eudora) and trace the actual source of the email sometimes. Even these can be forged, however. Please keep stressing that point! The messages you are getting are NOT from the listserver, not from matronics. The return adress, that is the address you see has been falsified by a worm or virus. You need to investigate further to find out who sent you the thing. Most probably it is not even somebody on the list or anybody you know. One of my customers website is also being used as a fake return adress, and he is really sad about all the people complaining to him, about something that is totally out of his control. There is nothing you or anybody else can do about it now, because the problem has been created by security issues in the microsoft operating systems and internet software like internet exploder and outlook (express). The second problem is, that even when these issues are corrected, you have to update your windows, and your virusscanner. Without these security issues there would be no chance for virusses and worms to propagate, so no chance for these sick people who think virus programming is fun. There are no linux virusses, no mac virusses, because these operating systems do not offer such great possibilities for virus programmers. Btw, a second payload of these latest worms is not only to keep spreading with the mail like you are receiving but also offer a gateway for spammers to misuse victems computers to send tons of spam around the world. That adds commercial interest to virus spreading, so i am afraid we have not seen the worst yet..
