Hi Richard
The reliability of the oil pressure senders is poor particularly if they are
mounted directly to the engine. I would suggest you try substituting another
sender and if this solves the problem mount it remotely so it is free of
vibration. You should then get much improved reliability.

Hi Folks,
Weather could be good this week, so how about Lands End for lunch Tues
18th? Voucher in Pilot. The adventuresome might like to stop off in Roserrow
on the way ( or on the way back ). Voucher also in Pilot.
Cheers, Paddy Clarke

I have at last got my Throttle cables to work smoothly without snagging and
causing mismatch in action between Carbs. I've shortened cable 'outers' and
routed with as little bending as possible. My gut feeling is that this is
fairly short lived success.
Has anyone found a supply of better quality cables/outers giving more
reliable and consistent action.
Regards
Gerry

I like the idea of Tuesday, or Wednesday for a fly in, but would prefer the
more modest distance from Sheffield area to Swansea (Flyer Freebee). Is it
cast in stone yet Paddy ?
Best Regards Bryan

Changed mine for teflon lined outers with Stainless inners.
Venhill Engineering and/ or Speedy Cables in the UK supplied them.
Getting the right amount of friction in the throttle box then becomes more
important, as it is assisted less by the contribution from the friction in
the cables
Getting the standard throttle box to work properly is another story.

Hi Rob,
Congratulations to Alex on his first flight and I assume the first Honda
powered Europa.
I would be very interested in learning more about the Honda engine
he used.

Subject: | Styrene?? Poisoning |
--> Europa-List message posted by: Tony Renshaw <tonyrenshaw@optusnet.com.au>
Gidday,
I want to know whether there could be a physiological response to breathing
sanded blue foam without a respirator. I have been diligent with my
respirator up till recently, as it often seems to irritate my skin, sweat
pimples etc, but on the last sanding occasion didn't wear one. I was only a
foot or so above the job, sanding away for a couple of hours...no big deal.
I use a vacuum cleaner when it builds up, and there was no apparent dust
cloud. Historically, I have treated the blue foam dust with the utmost
respect as I found it cut into my nose membranes and sinuses causing
significant discomfort. Whilst being slack on the last occasion I persisted
but didn't get the same symptoms, so I persisted. Questions:
1)Does this stuff give off a gas when you sand it, and if so what, and how
could one get effected?
2)If you breathed in a fine amount of invisible dust, could you have an
allergic reaction ?
3)If you can suffer an allergic reaction, how could this manifest?
