      Hi Bryan,
Well done and thanks for making it all the way to Landsend. It is your turn
to nominate the next venue and it can be as far north as you like, or even
on your doorstep like Sheffield, Wolverhampton, Sandtoft, or Shobdon. We
      look forward to your choice.
      Best wishes,
      William

      Erich,

Your idea for replacement of the throttle cables is interesting.

I have gone to the ACS catalog and to their website and can not find a
cable with p/n 05-1550. Would you please check on that p/n again?

      Thanks.

      Bob,

I believe Erich forgot an extra "0". The part number is, as I believe,
      05-15500. It's on pg. 153 of the 2003-2004 cataloge.

When bonding the FL1 and FL7 plates to the flap root, the manual calls for full
length plies and local plies. The full length plies are twice as large as the
local plies. I am slightly confused by this. My understanding is that the full
length plies wrap around on the flanges while the local plies sit inside the
cavity covering only the FL1 and FL7 plates. Is this correct?

      Andy,
Run the local plys onto the flanges as well. This will add extra strength
      and
it would be hard to cut the local plys the fit inside the flanges.

      Greetings All,

My test flight program has been decelerated by engine fuel starvation at
high throttle (MP > 25) and moderate
       positive pitch conditions (>15 degrees)

The fix is modestly instructive and so I note it here for new builders.

The fuel system I build had both the Europa Factory cartridge filters plus
      an Andair minigascolator (mostly
to remove condensed water). It turns out that the combined flow resistance
      was excessive, both reducing
net flow and creating sufficient negative pressure upstream of the
electric boost pump to entrain air.

I could not find any hydrodynamic data on either device. Andair did not
      respond to requests for info.

Solution: remove the gascolator through test phase, then swap back the
      gascolator for routine flight
      with a cleaned out tank.

Also, if I had it to do again, I would trash the supplied fuel hose which
has a strong propensity to kink
      when curved.

Another caveat which has been mentioned here: Don't buy your instruments
      until you are nearly
ready to use them. I had a UMA altimeter with a leaky diaphragm and a DOA
      Westach Tach/Hobbs.
Two years after purchase is not the best time to first try them out!

      Ira and All
I am using the Andair gascolator also. But no paper filter. There has been
zero debris in the Andair. I did find a couple chunks of black rubber hose
particles in the settling boles of the Starboard Carb. I believe the Andair
has a flow rate stoneware over 15 g/min. (way more that the Rotax needs)

I see you have the EIFS One. How do you like it? There is a good article
in this months KitPlanes about it. Also an Europa is on page 45, mine.
