It is noticeable that the Hat-droppers are almost entirely from the Southern half
of the country (UK that is)!
This week we are 'dropping' in Yorkshire. Now, I can understand that some from
counties like (say) Lancashire may find it difficult to reconcile this as a venue,
there must surely be the odd Europa aviator from the county of conception,
at least, who could find their way to Sheffield, or Santoft.
What is this SAYING about about my fellow Northerners???????
Come on chaps, or I will have to start being nice to these Southerners. Join in!

The relaxing trip around France is taking place 19th-25th June. These trips have
always been very sociable and pleasant in the past, and I planned to go on it
with my son as co-pilot. He has just advised me that he cannot get leave to join
me, so that leaves me with a spare seat.
If any builder, aspirant would like to join in, please give me a call, or e-mail.
Those under 300 pounds will receive preference. I like to take a tooth brush and
a change of underpants.

Dear All,
Following postponement of the Six Nations Tour due to bad weather in Europe, (which
was originally planned for beginning of May), I am now proposing to hold
it from:-
14th to 22nd August
As June and July are rather congested and as we intend to visit Switzerland, we
thought it might be a good idea to include the EAA Interlaken Rally which runs
from 20th to 22nd Aug.
We will therefore change the order of the six countries to be visited and start
with Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Italy, Switzerland and end with France.
Anyone interested in joining us, please drop me an e-mail or phone on 01495 785
499.
Best wishes,
William

Actually Kingsley, your advice will help after all. After cutting down the pitch
push rod about 10mm, riveting the end on and installing it up, I found less
travel again. Will heed your advice and that of others. Thanks!

Hello to Everyone !!!
Just a quick reminder that we're just 2 weekends away from the 1st Annual
Southeast US Europa FlyIn!!! We're looking forward to a great time, good
food, and lots of Aviatin'. Make plans now for June 5th & 6th.
Here's a look at the airport:

Just click on a picture for a larger view.
If everyone that is coming could drop me an e-mail to confirm your
participation and to let me know how many will be in your party, I'd
appreciate it. This includes those of you who have contacted me or John
prior to now. There could have been changes to folks plans. Just trying to
get an accurate head count for food & beverage purchases.
Anyone in need of directions, accomodations, or other info, contact brother
John @ PINSROOST@aol.com or Phone: (423) 949-4210 or myself @
skyrider2@earthlink.net or (706) 947-3133.
This is gonna be a fun time. Don't forget to bring your cameras cause this
area is beautiful !!!!!

FIRST and FOREMOST MY E-MAIL ADDRESS IS CHANGING FROM TONIGHT DUE TO
INTOLLERABLE LEVELS OF SPAM> ( in spite of nearly 4000 addresses being
directed to my delete box at least 900 were awaiting my return from Berlin
in 7 days!)
Address will now be ptag.dev@tiscali.co.uk
Will everyone who is likely to want/ need /or feel obliged to maintain
contact PLEASE NOTE NOW 'cos this is the last time of publishing !
Hey Bryan.
Just 'cos you got your bird tickety boo don't think everyone else has !
I'm in the middle of an oil change and head retorque exercise just now,
otherwise you know I'd be there.
BTW no snide remarks Duncan!!!!!!
On the same vein why weren't you all at Cark on Sunday?
It was just brilliant clear skies except the odd piece of fluf to illustrate
the speed ! Then I got back to give my WWII veteran Spitfire Pilot a flight
experience ready for his big day on July 3rd at the Project Propeller Fly in
at North Weald. He wanted to be sure that he could get in and out without
too much embarrassment! He wants his electric buggy to go and when I offered
to try to get it in his wife was most indignant and accused me of wanting to
save her an excursion in the car to take the buggy !
So I guess ..... if needs must ! Hope the damn weather is OK though.
Who's going to Perth on Friday ?

Hi All
'm in the process of getting together metal, etc for my XL. I live in Alberta,
just west of Edmonton. I'm looking for a builder who might have some extra metal
kicking around. I realize there are many different sizes of angles, sheeting
that we need. I can access the most common, but there are some that can only
be ordered by the 4x12 sheet. Most of the sheet is never needed and there
seems to be much left over. I would be willing to pay fair price plus shipping.
I just think this would be a lettle more less expensive then buying a whole
sheet or a long length of angle only to use a small piece of it. It would probably
only be worthwhile getting this from a canadian as shipping cross the
border can get expensive. Any thoughts from the group are welcome.
