Hi all,
Doe anyone one know of a mail order house that I could purchase this product from
in the US. I have tried a couple of the local motor bike shops with out any
luck.

After stashing away my wings while waiting on my strobes to arrive, I'm
marching forward to CHAPTER 11! <fanfare please>
My question is about trimming the fuselage bottom < page 11-1 > The manual
says to cut the molding at the trim line which is barley visible. No problem
there. Until I get next to the firewall... No trim line in the short rounded
corner where regular epoxy stops, and phenolic resin begins. Hummm...
Question 1.
Should I trim all the way to the flat edge of the firewall or should I leave
the rounded Corner?
Question 2.
At the opposite end I see the trim line. I assume that I need to trim the
area where the tail attaches as well. True?
Once again. Thanks to all for your opinions, tips, and most of all ...
warnings.

Hi Paul, is this the good stuff to use in the 914?
Congrat's on getting in the air. Are you hanging out at the airport a lot
more now?

I think the trim line curved up a little at the thick part near the
firewall. Did you try to make the line visible by using a pencil over it?
There should be a trim line on the tail section too. Leave the same amount
of "joggle" back there.
I cut close to the trim line with a jigsaw and then sanded to the line with
a permagrit block. Then when it was time to get the fuse level in the
fixture, putting the level across from edge to edge on the lower fuse seemed
accurate.

The searchable email archive http://www.geocities.com/asarangan/europa_forum.html
now has an improved search engine and a better looking interface, with about 25,000
indexed messages dating back to 1995. The site was down during the last few
days for maintenance, but it is up and running now.
As some of you know, I created this site to archive all emails to the Europa mail
list. A similar archive also exists at matronics.com
Comments are welcome.

Hi all,
I did a bunch of runs today at various IAS to collect data so I could determine
my ASI error. For some reason I thought I was supposed to fly 3 headings for
each speed (120 degrees apart) noting the GPS speed for each. When I downloaded
Dave Bosomworth spreadsheet from John Cliff's web site I discovered I was
supposed to collect the data for 4 headings, not 3.
Does anyone have a spreadsheet that does the vector calculations and density altitude
for 3 headings rather than 4. Otherwise I am going to have to get back
in my Europa and fly a couple more hours, now that would be just such a chore
wouldn't it.......
Thanks, Paul

Kevin,
This is one of the oils recommended in the Rotax service bulletin
SI-18-1997R4. I am using Valvoline Durablend, however the motorbike oils
are far more desirable because they have a gear additive in them.
Unfortunately I am beginning to conclude that the Shell VSX4 is not sold in
the US.

Does anyone have a contact for Benwick FM 1053 fuel flow computer spares in the
UK? In particular I would like to change the fuel flow sensor unit. Is it a
standard item, or is it commissioned specially for Benwick?
Many thanks,
William
