--> Europa-List message posted by: "David Legge dlegge" <dlegge@socal.rr.com> In my opinion, 72 DPI is an ideal resolution for on-screen viewing. Most monitors will display that resolution well. The resolution will control the size of the file. The viewer can then decide on what they want to view at a higher resolution. I would suggest that the link to the high resolution image be direct to the image and not to another HTML page with the image imbedded. The reason is, an individual with a slow link or those who are so far from you that the overhead of the connection slows the load, can right click on the image and directly save it off. This allows someone to queue up a couple of images and go off and do something else. Don't agree Richard, clipping pictures to a smaller resolution is a waist of information. Sometimes the value is in the details!. If you have a look at my pictures at forum.okhuijsen.org -> gallery You will see that there is first a thumbnail, so fast loading, selecting that small picture will give you a reasonable 768x1028 definition picture and again click that will produce the original definition one, which is too large for normal computer screen and will load slowly on anything slower then T1, but will offer all the details. Hard disk space is cheap nowadays, and we should not throw anything away, that later could be usefull. Subject: Eden Project Fly-in
--> Europa-List message posted by: "Duncan McFadyean" <ami@mcfadyean.freeserve.co.uk> Anyone interested in doing hte Eden Project on Saturday? Plan would be to fly to Bodmin and get a train or bus from the town to the exhibition. The only difficulty is getting from Bodmin Airfield to the town or Bodmin Parkway railway station. Its not walkable and a taxi or car hire would need a group of people to make it economic. Arrival at Bodmin by 9.00 would be needed to make a good day of it; or arrive Friday and camp over. There are no real alternatives to Bodmin; Truro presents the same logisitcal problem, Newquay will want L40 for landing etc. and Roche (much closer with a 15 minute bus ride to the Project) is easy to get into but (at 320m) difficult to get out of without a car and trailer. Following (and/or in addition to that) there's the Bolt Head fly-in nearby on Sunday, which affords an excellent opportunity to explore Salcombe etc. Forcast is good. Duncan McF. do not archive

Half a day should be fine to do it justice, so it's the perfect fly-in. I wish I was flying, wasn't working, and hadn't just been - by car! Its about 10 to 15 miles between Bodmin and Eden.
