The two lamps for the TCU do not appear to light, I was expecting a lamp test when power was supplied to the TCU. The servo for the wastegate does hunt when power is supplied as expected. Anyone had similar problems or know of a solution. Thanks in advance. My question is this: Can I buy a "glass repair" kit at the local store here? Will it be compatible with the redux already used on the plane? Will they stick to each other? I realize that it will be a little bit heaver, but I only want to make two small channels for air to flow from the NACA vents to an eye ball vent. AeroRedux (?) is very expensive also.. :) I have an update on the loss of MP at high alt with my Rotax 914. The Airbox to the port side carburetor was connected, but loose. So looking at it, it looked fine! But, we tugged on it, and off it came. I will let you guys know that kind of MP I hold at 11,000 MSL in the next week. Thanks! On our Europa, we used a block of foam as a template to fabricate from fiber glass/epoxy a duct that connects the NACA vents to eyeball fittings (see 'http://www.europa-usa.com/n135TD.htm' cabin air inlet). regards, Terry Seaver N135TD Carpenter, Matt wrote: >--> Europa-List message posted by: "Carpenter, Matt" > >Since I am not the builder of my Europa, I have not had any experience with >glass. > >My question is this: Can I buy a "glass repair" kit at the local store >here? >Will it be compatible with the redux already used on the plane? There are some pics at http://forum.okhuijsen.org/ if you are interested. Have not flown them yet so cant vouch for their effectiveness. In fact I am installing 2 eyeball vents down close to feet.. these provide heat. Right now they are just open holes. Terry, thanks for your link also.. It does look like you moved your NACA vent some. So I think for my mod I will need to go with Paul's idea. Let me make sure I have things down correctly.. I use blue foam (where do you get that?) and shape the foam. Lay the glass over the foam and allow it to setup with epoxy.. Then scrape the foam away from the hard glass, and POOOF there is a usable piece. Thanks... Even easier than scraping it away is to either A) cover the foam with cellulose packing tape and rub wax (or another suitabole rlease agent) over it then do the layup. You can then pull the mould away from the inside Or B) If you don't mind a rough inside surface and don't wasn't to reuse the mold again simply take the finished item outside and pour a bit of gasoline into it. The blue foam will very quickly melt away. They may not be the cheapest, but they will take good care of you. I have always been leery of the "lowest bidder" !!! Cliff Shaw 1041 Euclid ave.
