Hello, Dave Cope!
There were photos of a monowheel jack in an early edition of Europa Flyer; this
unit was made by a French builder out of timber.
I have replicated his design using aluminium box section left over from a microlight
project here at Shobdon, and I use this jack every year when my inspector
does the annual permit renewal inspection.
Contact me off line for more details.

Correct and most important place to have the incidence accurate and equal
is the outer end of the flaps. This is the bit which will cause a built in
roll. !/2 a degree at the root tells you nothing unless you are certain the
wings are identical, (which is near impossible).
I always recommend check the first wing at the root, then set the second by
checking at the outboard end of the flaps. This is the traditional way the
glider boys do it.

Victory!
After two years of, of, I don't know what to call it. Let's put it mildly, say
frustration. I got John to let me download the updated builders manual. The final
straw was last night when, as per my manual, I cut my spar strap 10" long.
Hmmmmm that looks short, off to the web site to check for updates. I downloaded
chapter 27, no changes. Cut all the cloth.
Then I read "The strap is not meant to overlap here, so trim the ends as necessary."
Overlap, overlap there's a four inch gap! A few quick emails to my building
buddies, and their manual says 14". Thats it, I'm tight, put down the scissors
Stressarella.
Long story short, John agreed to post the manual for me to download. He also said
that he was pretty sure that I was the only builder without the new manual.
Seeing everyone else is a member of the Europa-Club so they got the updated manuals.
So. if you fell through the cracks like me and need to download an updated manual,
email John and let him know you need the secure link. europa@gate.net
I love a happy ending...
SteveD
P.S. There are no downloads at the autolink posted below. I'm still figuring out
how to auto turn it on and off. :)

Hi David
Would you mind copying me in on those details? I currently use a
fuselage dolly which is part of a single handed rigging kit with my box
trailer. However, as the aeroplane is permanently hangered I intend to
sell the trailer and rigging kit so will require a replacement jack.
Thanks
Pete

Hey Steve,
Nice hangar. Is this link business only for your photos, messages, or is it
something you want to share so that we can all bounce our posts into your
web forum too?? Not sure what the goal is here?

P.S. I am using the forum as a remote storage vehicle for my build diary
photos. What a good place, considering they are there for anyone else who
might want an inspiration, or otherwise.

It's running now, but has a bug. It's double posting. The forum should
see if the return message is the same and not post it, but it does. :
( I'm working on that and only having the link appear if there are
attachments.
> Not sure what the goal is here?
One stop shopping. Online builders logs, Important document storeage,
online catalog for specialty items, Email server, and photo
attachments. The original goal was to have everyone just use the
Europaforum, and move from Matronics. But after long talks with the
Europa-Club it was decided that, that would not be optimum solution.
Many users needed the email function that the Forum just couldn't
provide at the time.
