--> Europa-List message posted by: nigelcharles@tiscali.co.uk Hi John Thanks for the info. As this problem is happening with many 912S engines from new I would suggest that the fault is unlikely to be any of items 1,2 or 3 on your list. From what I have been told, kickback accelerates sprag clutch wear which in turn makes the problem worse so sparg clutch wear is more a symptom of the problem rather than the cause. As well as the suggestions you mention I position the prop just after a compression before start so it gets the best possible run at its first compression. Having tried all these ideas I still find the single ignition start the best way to avoid kickback especially on cold starts. --> Europa-List message posted by: TELEDYNMCS@aol.com Wing seal tape is available from: Bolus Maxi Tape P.O. Box 221 St Paris, OH 43072 Or e-mail Mike at: usoar@juno.com Yes, white electrical tape will work, but it leaves a, yellow, sticky residue, especially after it's been on a while and exposed to UV. The Bolus tape does not leave a residue and it's 1" wide. Mike also sells the terrycloth "bucket hats" glider pilots are prone to wear. Goofy looking, but they sure are nice for keeping the sun off your head, nose and ears. Regards, John Lawton Dunlap, TN A-245 (Installing rudder cable turnbuckles today)

Depending on the ergonomics of your panel you may find you run out of hands to achieve this. Nigel Charles >-- Original Message -- >From: "Leo J. --> Europa-List message posted by: Jim Brown <acrojim@cfl.rr.com> John After about a year or so, the imprint appeared. This was before the factory newsletter addressed the issue. As the fiberglass cured and aged in the hot Florida climate I got the imprint. It would appear that the fiberglass continues to cure long after the lay-up is done. We repainted the a/c couple years ago, due to on going problems with the Poly Fibre paint. I sanded out the imprint at that time, and we have not had the imprint reappear Jim Brown N398JB John Cliff wrote: > --> Europa-List message posted by: "John Cliff" <mx@crixbinfield.freeserve.co.uk> > > In the factory newsletter issue 25 a case was reported of an 'imprint' of the > moulded pipe appearing on the aircraft outer skin.
