:-) Ooops!
Can I just reinforce, in case of any doubt, that I wasn't trying to knock
the Dynon (indeed an excellent bit of kit and one I'm considering for
G-EZZA)!
I'm now told the problem was a trim system. I've totally failed to find any
details - if anyone knows more, I'd be most interested!
Cheers,
Jeremy

There are still a few places left for the Fly-In/BBQ at Lydeway on 17th July (18th
backup day for bad weather). Anyone interested should e-mail me without delay
to reserve a slot.

William Mills and I discussed this problem at length whilst participating in
the French tour. He was concerned that my sprag clutch was showing signs
similar to those displayed on his engine prior to it having to be replaced.
We reasoned that switching in the magnetos one by one whilst the starter is
turning the engine may overcome the problem. Fortunately with my system it
is possible to do this, so I did.
The result is super! Choke out, turn the engine over with the starter, and
flick in a magneto. The engine smoothly takes over with no sign of a
kickback. Don't forget the second Mag.
Thanks William----- Original Message -----

I know that Peter Kember employed this method for the last few months that
he owned G-OPJK and it pretty much completely cured the starting problems
that were previously a major problem.

Yes. this was the only way that the BMW-project engine (going back a few
years now) could be started. Even then, it was very difficult and
unsatisfactory.

Those of us lucky enough to be on David Joyce's 'Tour de France' this week had
a truly great trip! This was mainly due to David's immense hard work before hand,
and his undoubted skills on the phone speaking French.
We never went without accommodation, and the gourmet evening meals were organised
throughout.
I hope everyone got back OK.
Thanks David. Bryan

Despite the French prevalence to being closed and full, together with the odd music

Thanks David!
I trust we are all home safely now. Bryan

For those who questioned the reason for 20 miles off-course condition, read
this:

Make sure the whole sequence is entered
("http://...................2004/index.html).

Hi all,
I am getting close to signing off N378PJ. I was wondering if anyone happened to
know the exact phrases to use for the test stage sign off and the wording required
for the aerobatic maneuvers signoff.
Thanks, Paul
