There are still 2 free slots available at my fly-in on Saturday 17th July
(18th backup day for bad wx). I will be at the Rally so if anyone would
like to reserve a place see me there or reply to this e-mail.

Fellow Europaphiles,
I didn't realize there was such a paucity of suppliers of aircraft bits
and pieces in the U.K.

Here's what I have found for fiberglass cloth suppliers in the U.K.
Courtesy of something called Kellysearch.com. Even if they don't sell
retail, perhaps they can provide you with a retailer of their products.
Good luck.

Just back from the initial setting-up of the Europa Club stand this
afternoon (ready for the hordes of people we expect in the morning!)
and one thing occurs to me that I should have mentioned in my
previous posting. All those people drinking tea & coffee creates a
big demand for water. So, even if you can't spare the time to man the
shop for me, perhaps you could fit in a few minutes to haul some
water from the nearest supply back to our water-boiler.
Already arrived at Kemble is Stefan Ingemarsson in SE-XRX. Maybe the
weather isn't as bad as we thought!
regards

I heard today that the europa office is going to adopt a part-time
schedule of weekends, due to lack of revenue. This is quite unsettling
news. While i know there is a strong community of europaphiles out
there (here), to have a plane become an orphan when it is only half
finished is not a nice feeling. How's it going in the UK?

Today is Day 1 of the PFA Rally (mini version of Oshkosh) and according the
programme of events Europa will be there. I think your fears and other
questions will be asked loud and long today.
I will be there today and will ask some questions regarding USA and general
comments about situation where Builders have only partial Kits.
I'll write again tonight.

Gerry

Following on from the thread on noisy Microair radio=92s, I have just
received the Xcom intercom ordered direct from Xair in Aus. Very good
service although I did have to pay the postie an extra =A324 for VAT etc
when it arrived.
Also I have now discovered that I will probably have to re-wire the PTT,
Microphones and headsets as the Microair has these linked together but
they are wired separate if using the Xcom. They have offered to supply a
harness but that would be another $275 and I guess I would still need to
strip out and rewire the above.
Their web site states that =91fitting the unit should take little more
than 15 minutes=92. I=92ll take that with a large pinch of salt.
Looks like a job for winter.

Gerry - sorry to report that the latest info we have is that the
Europa factory will have no official presence be at the Rally. The
stand they booked (but did not pay for) is next to the Europa Club
stand, and has now been sold to another firm, already in occupation
yesterday (Thursday).
>I think your fears and other

The Europa Club Committee will do our best to help with all such
questions, and raise any others as appropriate. We understand that
Andy & Neville are hoping to be present, in non-official capacity,
and they may be able to help with some answers.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
regards
Rowland
