      Dan,
              I prep'ed the inboard pocket on the copilot side for the Tru-Trak
      wing leveler.  In my opinion this is the best one out there.  You flush
      mount the servo with the actuator arm protruding in the cockpit area with
      the actuator arm going to the stick.  I made up a bolt on unit with a tab
      that allows for the rod end to bolt there.  Then you need only the 2-1/8"
      opening in the panel. 
              All you need is to put flox in between the skins to provide the
      support for the bolts.  etc.

      I am planning to be there in the reserved Europa parking space just  off
      taxiway P1 ( I think that is what John Email us).  Make a sign to show in
      the windscreen that reads EUROPA  .
      
      You can only camp with your airplane in the "North 40" parking.  There is a
      place for "Home Built" camping very close to our parking.

      that it was

      cannot have a chamfered edge as this will adversly affect the static reading
      so conventional deburring would have to be done extremely carefully.  This relates
      into higher cost.  Doing a one-off wouldn't be a problem, of course.
      We found that drilling the plastic probes left clean holes with good sharp edges.
      We are still using the same pitot static head on our demonstrator which has
      several hundred hours on it and has had its fair share of manhandling.  We are
      aware that the pitot static is quite a vulnerable part, so we are careful with
      the port wing.  Perhaps the workshop environment is more likely to result

      Dear Europaphiles,
      
      I believe that this problem on replacing the static probe may be due to the fact
      that the black cross-drilled plastic item as supplied by the factory for the
      XS pitot static assembly may not be well secured in the end of the static tube.
      Mine fell out at an early date. 
      
      I recommend that all who have the standard XS pitot static probe check that it
      is firmly secure. If loose, some Loctite will ensure no further problems.

      pardon my ignorance, but there has been no mention of altitude in these  
      autopilot discussions.  Do these devices only maintain heading by  
      controlling the roll?  Is maintaining altitude still manual?

      compartment.  I brought my air up from the 914 inlet and ran it to the

      Sorry to hear about the incident.  I am in a similar situation as you.  I purchased
      a used/never been used NSI from a fellow builder who had the prop blades
      trimmed at 59" for a direct drive Subaru.  I inquired NSI and got the same response.
      I was all set to install the new prop prior to departing OSH, however,
      that will have to wait until I get back.

      I used Mr. Funnel which filters out crud as well as water.  ACS stocks them.  Regarding
      OSH parking Europa is still providing a parking area (I understand that
      this was pre-paid) and that camping is adjacent.  I have spoken to others that
      have camped and they state they have never had a problem with availability
      even after a late arrival. Hope to see ya there.

      Does anyone out there know of a good source of fuel filters for servicing the 
      airplane?
      I imagine a filter that would be built into a funnel, which would have
      a small enough diameter to attach a hose and insert into the tank. I have a
      filter like this from Summit racing, but it is huge and does not work very

      If you have the opportunity to get to Oshkosh, try not missing taking a look
      at the KR-21. Check out how you pull off the prop on a tapered shaft with key
      way. Clever those old folk.
      
      Please be relentless asking questions yourself, and having others (many) ask

      As we were told at the Europa Club AGM we will have three members standing for
      the National Council of the PFA (Jeremy Davey, David Corbett and Alan Twigg).
      I have just discovered on the PFA web site that the AGM is to be held at Turweston
      Airfield on Sat 4th Sept starting 10.30 (although this seems to be for speakers
      before lunch) with a buffet lunch for those that register and the AGM
      in the afternoon.
      a) it would be good if all PFA members could vote for our 3 nominees to ensure
      that we have a strong voice within the movement.
      b) It has been suggested that as many as can attend should do so as 1) I am sure
      that the PFA would appreciate a swelling of the numbers 2) support for our nominees
      in question would be an additional vote of confidence 3) it could make
      a good Europa day out.
      As I intend to attend can I have a note of any others who intend to do so to see
      if car share/air share is possible.

      I've had a fuel filler cover (part F40) on order from the UK factory for 
      2 months now with no joy or any explanation.
      
       I am therefore looking for an alternative way of  covering this area. 
      Anyone got any suggestions / pictures or indeed got a F40 not installed 
      that I could take a female mould from? Does anyone know who the supplier 
      of these mouldings is - perhaps they would be willing to sell direct 
      should they have any stock

      Alt hold is available from TruTrak. Just depends on what you want to pay.
      Conventional wisdom says that the Europa's flight characteristics don't
      really require it. I'm happy to have some help but will take care of alt
      hold manually.

      I haven't fitted mine yet but I have chopped it around a little to make it
      fit. There's plenty enough to fettle something of use.
      
      I can like others do a photo or you are welcome to borrow to make a mould.
      
      I'm in Bath area. I've a nasty suspicion you're 'up North'.

      Well if all goes well tomorrow I hope to bond in my module. It is winter 
      here in Aussie, however pretty tame by international standards. I have used 
      old redux once or twice lately, and it is really thick, I think due to the 
      OAT being about 10-15 for about 18 hours a day, and 15-20 degrees for the 
      remainder. So, my question is..........is it wise to attempt to prewarm the 
      redux, only a little, in my tucker box freezer with built in rheostat 
      light, or should I just leave it alone? If I leave it alone, and don't 
      preheat anything, well I will get a longer working life with my redux, and 
      once on I can then raise the temperature of the workshop to about 
      30+degrees C using my air conditioner. I am tempted with this method, but I 
      will be mixing and applying a coldish redux mix. Chemically I don't really 
      see a problem for a well mixed batch or two, and then the air conditioner 
      should accelerate its chemistry in situ. Any comments much anticipated, and 
      will be appreciated..

      I assume that you are talking about the cover on the fuel inlet.  I bought
      one of these but it really took the most part of a day to trim it and make

      Well, here goes my $.02.
      
      During our winter, my shop can get pretty chilly. I keep my epoxy and Redux 
      inside a cabinet with a 40 watt lightbulb on all the time. My working epoxy is
      
      dispensed from the standard ratio pump. This I keep in a homemade foam 
      insulated box with a 40 watt lightbulb using a thermostat control to keep the temp
      
      about 80' (27' for you). I find that I mix better and the less thick mix allows
      
      any bubbles I cause to come to the top readily.
      
      One other piece of info that I got off this Forum that makes much sense was 
      to also have the parts that you to be epoxied up to temperature also.
      
      I have been adhering to these ideas and they seem to be working.
