--> Europa-List message posted by: "nigel charles" <nigelcharles@tiscali.co.uk> I fitted a combination of brush guards (for the brake and throttle box) and a flexible piece of door seal for the gear slot. It seems to work OK. Brushes don't work too well for the gear slot as they cannot cope with the lateral movement of the gear lever without becoming flattened permanently. Nigel Charles

--> Europa-List message posted by: "Alan Burrows" <alan@kestrel-insurance.com> Ok who's coming over and does anyone need any assistance with rides accom etc. Also the tickets are selling fast for the "Rutan" lecture so if you want some I am told by the organisers that you should order ASAP. I know they are a little expensive at 40 each, but consider the cost of getting him to the Isle of Man and the fact that its a "one off". If there is enough interest then I will organise a B-B-Q for the Saturday evening at the field including some "local brew" just to show we can be civilised here on the Isle of Man..Cheers Alan Burrows Checkout the link for full details http://www.mfa.org.im/

--> Europa-List message posted by: "bryan allsop" <info@blackballclub.fsnet.co.uk> Wearing my new hat as Events Co-coordinator/Soc.Sec may I suggest that this would be a good opportunity for a general Europa fly-in, even if we do have to pay a landing fee. I quite fancy a camp over and barbeque. Obviously we are dependant on weather and it may be too soon to make commitments to Alan Burrows. It would be nice if we could get a summer evening out of it though. Provisionally book me in then Alan, and keep your fingers crossed. Personally I will not be interested in =A340's worth of Rutan. Regards Bryan Allsop. PS please keep it on the Club address.

Now I'm confused. (a regular occurence) I only know of one incident when rust got through a Mr and blocked an Andair. I discussed it with Andair at some length and accepted their explanation. I don't know Mr Funnel but do know Andair and respect their integrity. Graham

They might make up a replacement filter for our Mr Funnel. If you see Andy or Owen before I do a respectful request might work? Andy's attitude when I described this incident was, " well! he shouldn't have used a rusty Jerry can!" I didn't like that answer really. Folks do what they think is right at the time. I assumed that because the mesh looks the same it was the same. Wrong, but an easy mistake, they both block water. Graham

(thanks to the courtesy of our excellent chairman) I never realised that our Florida/Atlantic/Britain Gulf stream curls round and gives Lapland a good summer too. Those endless northern summer evenings are just magical. Graham

--> Europa-List message posted by: "Paul McAllister" <paul.mcallister@qia.net> Hi all, Give the current situation at Europa I have decided to have a try at making my own long range fuel tank. For anyone who has fitted one can you tell me the type of hose that goes into the tank. I am concerned that over time the hose being dipped in fuel will harden and degrade so I want to be sure that I use the correct type. Thanks, Paul
