Hi,
I'm looking to buy a Europa, either Monowheel or trigear. It must be complete
though.
If anyone knows of one for sale, or a better place to look, I'd really
appreciate the info.
Many thanks,
Mike Bullen.

Yes, whatever. It might also be a good thing to collect a list of people in
that situation,
Any volunteers?, there are people who might be able to do something
positive about this and the information needs to be coordinated.
Alan, should people email you?

Graham - the Europa Club committee has been working quietly on this
for some time. Interested parties should contact Ian Rickard

Mike - I take it you're prepared to travel worldwide to view
prospects, as you said nothing about your own location or your
preferred shopping area.
Your e-mail address suggests you might be in USA. There are less
Europas there than in Europe where you could probably find several
possible candidates.
If my assumption is incorrect and you're in UK, have you checked the
ads in Popular Flying magazine?
And if you're in Australia, I apologise for all the above assumptions!

My appologies, should have said I'm in the UK. I certainly would consider an
a/c anywhere in europe if it was the right one.
Best regards,
Mike.

At least I see there's one bit of good news. Rotax have increased TBO of all 912
engines to 1500 hours.
Has anyone got a classic fuel filler hose they want to sell? Kinda need one a little
desperately.

I went to Peterborough (Conington) today.
Parked up was the factory tri-gear demonstrator G-KITZ. I have seen it there
before. According to one of the staff it is Keith Wilson's ! Apparently he
"commutes" there in it, which probably means he lives nearby.
I wonder if the Administrators are aware of its current location.

Hi! All.
Fuel Tank Connectors and the restriction in the exit hole.
Having removed the finger strainer gauzes I find that provided you do it in steps,
at the right angle and depth it is possible to "back drill " the restriction
away from the inside diameter of the connector up to 1/4" diameter.
Then of course replace the gauze etc.!?
I am making a permanent strainer gauze to fit into the aircraft filler neck from
a JCB Tank Strainer Part No. P J122/98439 Spec/0 012663/STRAIN. It is smaller
gauge gauze than that issued with my water drain kit.
Costs =A313.30 incl . VAT. Available from the Dealers TC Harrison JCB Ltd. nation
wide in the UK. The diameter is about 3" but after removing the top ring it
is possible to reduce the diameter to the necessary 1.75" by folding the cylinder
of Gauze. It then just needs sizing for length and the top expanding to close
the filler neck and it sits in place and can be removed to check out for
any caught debris.
The PFA are considering this proposal. I will advise developments except it seems
no one else has yet had the problem?
Regards
Bob Harrison G-PTAG Europa MKI/Jabiru 3300.

The FAA does not approve that for certified A/C, as the course filter must be located
at the tank outlet. The idea I think is to catch stuff such as sealant
or a chunk of gasket which may come loose inside the tank. For the Europa tank
which has nothing like even a fuel quantity probe inside which can possibly
fail to become blocking chunks of something, sounds OK I guess. But something
for the individual builder to consider.

Hi all,
I have fabricated my own version of the Long Ranger tank system. I used tygon
hose as part of the siphon system that is normally immersed in fuel all of the
time. I found after 24 hours the hose had changed from clear to green and it
was noticeably less flexible. I can't imagine that this is going to work long
term. Has anyone had any experience with this material.
Thanks, Paul
