There was an excellent article in Sport Aviation a couple of months ago
regarding buying a kit. The author suggested that you place the full
purchase price in escrow until complete delivery. If the kit builder won't
go for that deal, run, don't walk. If only we had thought of that several
months ago.

Brad, 20/20 hind sight is always great, however, this was investigated up
front and it all looked good. I was also informed that it HAD to be paid for
up front.

Here's the result of my search for a North American source of
REDUX/ARALDITE. I hope this helps.

Does anyone know (or are you) someone who could act as informal training /
coaching / safety pilot for a few revision sessions (monowheel), at or near
Andrewsfield, Essex (UK!)?
If so can you reply off list.

Gary,
I call the manufacture of Epibond 420 and asked for distributors in the US.
I found one in Dallas Tx that had in stock (don't remember the name off hand).
Price was
about 200.00 delivered UPS.

Hey Fred!
That sounds very cool! I wasn't aware of Creative Air. Do they have a
website?
I would be very interested in a set of covers as I do not have any lights on
the plane yet.
I have a set of covers from a Mustang II but they don't fit right as is.
Hows it going on engine selection? Sounds like the Honda would be a good
way to go
for you since theres one up there to base from. For me, I am more than
willing to trade some
baggage capacity for extra performance of the Soob or Honda.
I am starting on an undercarraige fairing like on the Honda powered plane.
I will incorporate
the exhaust augmenter (hiding a 4 foot long 5" diameter tube) so it will be
a multipurpose project! I hope to completely hide the monowheel, totally
sweeping around the wheel with the fairing, and then just have a small cover
over the monowheel strut that should go flush with the main fairing.

I have a set of wingtip light covers I purchased from Europa a while ago. I
didn't use them so if someone would want them I'll let the go for half price
paid. They were $60 each from Europa, so $60 for both.

Wx looks OK for Sunday Drop of the Hat to Le Touqet. Suggest 12noon (UTC) or
earlier meet.
At least four Europas up for it.
Last chance to use the freebie landing voucher.
And could be the last really good autumnal day this year!

Subject: | S/Steel Classic Exhausts ex Europa |
--> Europa-List message posted by: Tony Renshaw <tonyrenshaw@optusnet.com.au>
Gidday,
I was one of the guys waiting for a minimum of 10 people to confirm their
intent to buy an Classic Stainless Steel exhaust. The latest is that the
manufacturer is not going ahead with the production run because there are
stock levels at Europa 2004. He did tell me however that the stock is old
stock and has not been adjusted for the problems identified by Nigel
Charles. So, he asked me to contact Europa 2004 and ask them to give him a
call, to get the stock returned for the adjustment. I haven't been able to
get in contact with them, principally because being on the other side of
the world time zone wise phone calls always clash with family
responsibilities and sleep leaving e-mail as the easiest form of
communication, and to my knowledge that is not possible. I hope so soon.
If you are interested therefore in one of these exhausts that are "not from
a current run", be aware that without modification they won't fit easily,
and as I recall from Nigels experience, led to several many hours nutting
out a fix, involving the manufacturer. To get something from the other side
of the world and have to return it for rectification is a situation I would
like to guard myself and others from, being my intent of this message.

Tony,
Email John Wheeler at john@europa-aircraft.com John's been great at
handling my orders and has gone out of his way to see to it that
everything is shipped in a timely manner. I'm sure he'd be interested
in getting the latest systems in stock...

Hu! Duncan /all from NZ.
Hope you have a nice day ..... sorry I can't make it ! Too busy visiting
guisers and hot springs here in NZ.
BTW if anyone ever hires a 6 birth camper don't get an Isuzu fashioned by
Cabin Craft unless you want a hearnia and knackered back from just riding
in it. The front axle has about 75% of the load on it leaving the rear
axle a furher 3.5 Tonnes of spare capacity to just constantly bump you.!
I'd rather be flying !
Regards
Bob H G-PTAG I wish......
