Am currently running a 912s which has from new, used approx 0.1 ltr of oil
per hour, resulting in a very sooty exhaust, and 2 relatively sooty plugs,
although not execessive, front right being worse, with a hint of oily deposit.
The
engine is now 43 hours old, and seems fine in every other respect and is
running good t's and p's. Am being advised to monitor the engine as it could be
still bedding in from new, but am slightly concerned as the situation does'nt
appear to be getting better, and it seems like a very unusual problem, most
using virtually no oil. Oil and filter was changed at 25 hrs and carbs balanced
twice. Just wondering if anybody else out there has come across this, or has any
theories. Thanks, Chris, mono 912s.

Those who have followed my builders log over the years will have noted that there
has been a large 'hole' since August. This gap appeared as a result of legal
advice and I am now pleased to report that I am now able to recommence building.
Coming up in the next month or so are details of the panel build which has been
quietly going on in the background and following that, what I hope will be the
final months of work required prior to getting ZK-TSK airborne.
Many thanks to those who have given me messages of support during what, for me,
has been one of the most trying years of my life. On many occasions I've felt
that I've been letting people down by not keeping my log up to date but if I
had continued the build there was a possibility that ZK-TSK would have had to
be sold as parts - and that would have torn me apart.
My first update will be for the month of January.
Regards - and wishing you all a Merry Christmas
Tony
