--> Europa-List message posted by: "Sven den Boer" <svendenboer@quicknet.nl> All, Dutch CAA/FAA is requesting an official noise statement for my aircraft. Noise Statement from Europa club is not recognized and the penalty is in NL, same landing charges as a Piper 28.(!@#%$!*) 2 possibilities to counter this: A: Get a noise measuremnt by an approved organisation/company B: Get a copy of an official Noise Statement from one of the EASA/JAR countries or the US/Canada. It needs to be a stament from a similar type of aircraft, in this case: Europa XS Rotax 912S engine Warpdrive prop Who can help me out? Mail or fax your noisestatement, eternal greatfullnes will be your reward. Best Regards, Sven den Boer PH-SBR fax: 084-7377223

FILETIME=[2795E5D0:01C57591] --> Europa-List message posted by: "William Daniell" <wdaniell@etb.net.co> Stephan, Read Baa Baa blacksheep by Pappy Boyington - a marine pilot in WW2. He used to drink in the evening wake up with a hang over and then fly. He got bored of this so he put together an "autopilot" made of rubber bands and string which enabled him to doze "tapping" the stick from time to time to keep straight and level... Is Tony's string something like this (without the hangover)? Will -----Original Message----- From: owner-europa-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-europa-list-server@matronics.com] On Behalf Of Stephan Cassel Subject: RE: Europa-List: Setting wing incidence --> Europa-List message posted by: "Stephan Cassel" <cassel@sensewave.com> Hi Will, This is my approach as well: Wait and see. I think Tony Krzyzewski has tested a simple string attachment to the control-stick in order to trim. According to my memories it worked very well. Stephan -----Original Message----- From: owner-europa-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-europa-list-server@matronics.com] On Behalf Of William Daniell Subject: RE: Europa-List: Setting wing incidence --> Europa-List message posted by: "William Daniell" <wdaniell@etb.net.co> Mike, Thanks - I think (not sure yet) I am planning to get everything together and flying and then, only if necessary fit a trim. Will -----Original Message----- From: owner-europa-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-europa-list-server@matronics.com] On Behalf Of DuaneFamly@aol.com Subject: Re: Europa-List: Setting wing incidence --> Europa-List message posted by: DuaneFamly@aol.com Hey Will, I'll be interested in people's response as to right or left wing. Many have put it on the left so they can have a visual on it. But I think it should be on the right to that the smooth portion of the trim tab raises up into the airflow as opposed to the left wing where the linkage side of the trim tab lowers into the airflow. As for servo info, mine is an MAC S9 Trim System from Menzimer Aircraft for about $180. But their website has expired so you might want to check Aircraft Spruce for their RAC Electric Trim Servos. They look identical. There are also pix in the Europa Forum from those that have already done it. Good luck. --> Europa-List message posted by: "R.C.Harrison" <ptag.dev@tiscali.co.uk> Hi! Sven I have an MT Propellers produced Noise Cert produced as a result of thorough tests taken by them on my Jabiru 3300 powered Europa Trike with their 3 blade CS Propeller. The German Inspector I submitted to at Munchen Osnabrook only accepted it "under protest " since he said it should be produced or validated by the British CAA being a UK registration. I only this morning contacted a Junior rank woman in the CAA who started off by saying it would probably require a UK conducted test for the CAA to provide the validation.! This stinks of "jobs for the boys " culture and I feel you should establish just what the Dutch CAA will accept prior to getting in any deeper ! I will be making lots of loud noises if having flown to Straubing and spent three days getting the necessary tests done, having a German Certificate made by a German Manufacturer only to find it is bloody worthless here in the UK or for that matter anywhere else !!!??
