--> Europa-List message posted by: "Dari Sagar" <dari_sagar@hotmail.com> David Joyce had a fleece which he lent to Gail. She left it in the trailer for him. Maybe he failed to collect it. Cant really describe it but we'll email David to see if he collected. If not, it's probably his and we'll contact you again. >From: Rowland Carson <rowil@clara.net> >Reply-To: europa-list@matronics.com >To: europa-list@matronics.com >Subject: Europa-List: flying for fun - lost & found >Date: Mon, 4 Jul 2005 21:53:08 +0100 > >--> Europa-List message posted by: Rowland Carson <rowil@clara.net> > >While clearing up the Europa Club stand at the end of Flying For Fun, >we came across a couple of items of clothing that no-one then present >claimed. 0.26 HTML_OBFUSCATE_05_10 BODY: Message is 5% to 10% HTML obfuscation --> Europa-List message posted by: "nigel charles" <nigelcharles@tiscali.co.uk> I will be holding the Lydeway Fly-In again this year. The date will be the 27th August with the 28th as a backup day in case of bad weather. A free BBQ will be available in exchange for taking a couple of local residents on short local flights. The event is limited to 10 visiting aircraft. Priority is given to Europa Club members if the event is over subscribed. For those not familiar Lydeway is an airstrip in the middle of Wiltshire (790m grass 28/10). Anyone interested should e-mail me at nigelcharles@tiscali.co.uk. . Nigel Charles

    Subject: Mod 70
    From: Gerry Holland <gholland@gemini-resourcing.com>
--> Europa-List message posted by: Gerry Holland <gholland@gemini-resourcing.com> I completed Mod 70 today. Not a pleasant pastime but that=B9s life! One piece of learning was when replacing new TP18 the following instruction is given: The adjuster TP18C has two flats machined - this will assist in fitting the unit to the hole in TP9. It has been found that it is best to fit the lower bolt first. Good advice but it helps if you fit a bolt temporarily into top hole initially. It allows you a pivot point that helps locate bottom bolt. Once the bottom bolt is located then remove upper bolt and continue as instructed. The centering of mass balance is marginal so I may or may not refit guide cables. I cut them outboard so they could be reused. It=B9s an awkward job but with patience it all works out OK. Regards Gerry

Check that your new tubes are the same length as the old ones that you remove. I found out (the hard way) that my replacement was about half an inch longer and I had to take it out, shorten and drill a new hole in the end of it. Also, adjust the screw on the lower tube so that is also exactly the same length as the original, otherwise you have to take it out yet again to adjust it. On mine, one turn of the screw made about one inch change in the height of the balance weight. David G-SHSH (still for sale)
