This , according to the book is a TCU problem, but what problem? What should I be looking for? Suggestions welcomed. The Operator's Manual (Ed. 0 1998 12 01) says that a blinking orange is due to a failure of a sensor, sensor wiring, TCU, or airbox leakage. Hopefully your problem will turn out to be the cheapest of those possibilities! The blinking orange light went away when he switched on the switch for the waste gate servo. I think it was labeled TCU on his plane. It should be on at all times. Only there to cause a reset if need be, as I understand the way it works. Hope this helps. Cliff Shaw 1041 Euclid ave. What's your thoughts? http://www.kestrobes.com/index.html http://www.kestrobes.com/ddm_models.html I was waiting for these to come out, he had a bit of problem dissipating LED heat, but said he solved that problem. They are very bright. (Much brighter than my old reflector bulbs and they don't even get warm.) Then I have 55 watt 12v lights on each side for landing/alternating recognition lights all mounted in lenses. I too had this problem.....what I did was nothing. I guess, I was about 1/16 off. After much consternation and a mallet ( small ) I got the wings rigged. Slowly as I did more and more fitting and setting wing incidence and sweep, The pins got easier and easier to install and remove. I don't know if I bullied something into fitting or the wings need to be set with proper incidence and sweep for the pins work easily. I have a feeling it was the later.... Out of curiosity, has anyone ever had to use this manual reset switch to calm a surging turbo? Was the surge brought on by trying to operate in the "Stay Out" zone between 108% and 110% or something else? Was the event as entertaining as it sounds!? Any other tricks or lessons learned to avoid such an event would be greatly appreciated.
