We started N128LJ up again to test temps with the cowlings on. I am
using an MGL Stratomaster engine monitor set up for the 912 S. I am
receiving Oil Temps of 150 to 180 F and the worst of the two EGT's are
around 800 to 1000 but the CHT's are quickly going over the limits. 280
to 320 degrees. Anyone out there trying the MGL monitor and did it work
with the stock 912-S CHT probes? I think I may have to change the
probes.

Your oil & egt temps sound fine for a ground run @ idle but cht going over
max on the ground after how long and under what conditions,(idle or max power
with it tied down?) r u using the waterless coolant?

Subject: | Rubber engine mounts |
--> Europa-List message posted by: "Garry" <garrys@tampabay.rr.com>
While doing an annual inspection I discovered that the rubber engine mounts had
lost their elasticity, causing my engine to "sag". After 5 years and 400 hours
I suppose this shouldn't have come as a surprise. It's time to replace them.
I recall reading on the forum a couple of years back, that there was a Cessna
engine rubber mount which Europa builders were using very satisfactorily.
If this is true, I can obtain the Cessna part much quicker (and probably cheaper)
than I can from the UK. Does anyone remember this thread and if so can you
point me to the Cessna part number?

Yes we had it tied down and we ran it at idle then up to about 4000
RPM's until I didn't like the temps I saw.

Yes I am using the waterless coolant.
