That referred to a pair of 9mm bolts but no thread specs, and have to order to get same. (a) any suggestions other than these boltholes?, and (b) any info on thread specs? Happy landings Ferg

My ELT doesn't provide for that arrangement, nor perhaps do most. A flexible whip attached, a la EBC-102A would be good. Trouble is, it's "G-switch" looks cheap and unreliable. But I otherwise agree. > I have a lot of time flying a DF equipped aircraft finding > them and have seen more than my share of crash sites. At last someone who may know. I'm curious about documented actual saves re downed aircraft, not just locating mortal remains. Best info I found suggests lately rare or less, and the incident would be on cable news. These days we can take a cell phone, handheld GPS, and handheld VHF comm. Latter two further backup to panel stuff, and you talk to aircraft overhead if hopefully able. Try the cell phone to call for help. A couple years ago, climbers got caught in a snowy crevasse in the mountains, and a cell phone still worked! Also call CNN, talk live with Kyra Phillips. Breaking news! Downed pilot hears helicopters.... :-) Reg, Fred F.

I found in the Rotax reference pages the suggestion to use a strap under the intake manifolds. I have been doing it that way and have had no concerns of safety or doing damage . There is a picture of my hoisting my 912S on page 8 picture 386 at the Europaowners page listed in my signature. Hope this helps. Cliff Shaw 1041 Euclid ave. --> Europa-List message posted by: "Raimo Toivio" <raimo.toivio@rwm.fi> Dear Builders! The distance between shooting boltss points (when open) should be 947 mm. I have followed strictly revised manual and my push rods are perfect. For example shorter one from roll pin centre to roll pin centre is just 137 (earlier 133) mm long. I made them using suplied round bar and it was quite easy but "challenging" and labourrich. After all the distance is 942 mm (both of doors). Have you any idea where is missing 5 mm? Longer one is looking good but shorter one should be 142 mm long to be good and safe enough (notice: just in my case and in my doors only!). Shooting bolt of the shorter push rod does not come out enough. I will do new ones (will take only one night) but those of you who have not been there, be aware! Thirty (30) or more are priced at $1.60 each. Fifty (50) or more are priced at $1.44 each. Less than thirty (30) are a little more expensive at $2.26 each.
