I think I purchased it from Allied Electronics see: http://www.alliedelec.com/Search/ProductDetail.asp?SKU=642-2273&desc=26PCA FA6D The rest of the components came fom Digikey, What would help everyone on the list is if someone would invest the time in laying out a printed circuit board. A PCB would make it so even the most faint hearted could successfully build this. I have to build up another unit for myself for a domestic water tank and I'll be using this board to build up the circuit. Once I have done this I'll add some as built photos to the existing documentation which can still be found at www.kaon.co.nz/europa/fuelgaugev3.pdf Regards Tony ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 09:35:34 AM PST US From: Paul Stewart Subject: Europa-List: ammeter --> Europa-List message posted by: Paul Stewart Have folk out there used a direct reading ammeter or is the preferred method to use a shunt? We have a direct reading instrument and given we are not talking huge current in the europa was wondering if this was safe to bring into the panel. The maximum current draw is about 11 amps. Cliff Shaw 1041 Euclid ave. Never a hint at a problem. Use it with confidence... Now comes all the fun...enjoy your hard work. A question for Bob....I was always concerned about the low electrical output from the Rotax alternator.....how is this different from the Jabiru 3300? What does it put out from it's alternator? If someone is going all electric, is there a vacuum pad available for a second alternator? Appreciate all your help. The optional 40 amp alternator that we offer for the Rotax fits the vacuum pad on the 3300 with a slightly different mount.
