So the inefficiency of the PFA can be used against them ! If they are so inefficient that they make a decision, and announce it, and then (allegedly) reverse it and don't announce the reversal, leaving the original decison published, how can they expect anyone who doesn't read this forum know one way or the other. I shall do this next week so long as my inspector is happy. He has made no comment so far ! Richard

--> Europa-List message posted by: "Paul McAllister" <paul.mcallister@qia.net> Ron, I took the following data about a year ago. It isn't an exact experiment because I didn't hold a constant altitude. The OAT varied from 30 degrees to 19 degrees. All the data was captured from my EIS over a one hour flight, the numbers below are averages of samples, of around 3 or 4 minutes long. I have no data for 32,33 and 39" Since then I have adjusted the needles in the carburetor to be leaner, and the engine is a loosened up a lot. One of these days I'll do another sample and maybe do it for constant sets of altitude. If you would like a copy of my EIS data dump let me know and I will send it to you directly. --> Europa-List message posted by: John & Paddy Wigney <johnwigney@worldnet.att.net> Hi Martin, I do not have experience with the Colson wheels, but I have had good success with wheels from http://www.castersupply.com/. The particular wheels I have used are Part No. INI-2140, Infiniti elastomer wheels, 4 x 1 1/4 at USD 4.97 each and are listed at http://www.castersupply.com/NAV/elastomer_wheels.htm. The data sheet on the web page lists a 1/2 inch axle size but the actual wheels supplied fit a 3/8 inch axle. These wheels last about 200 to 300 take-offs and landings. The forum archive (thanks to those who told me how to access it) indicates Colson Casters as a good source. A visit to the Colson Casters website puts me into 'caster overload'. Can someone recommend a suitable caster type - together with part number? One with rubber tires would be best I think.
