Mrz 2006 03:33 An: europa-list@matronics.com Betreff: Europa-List: Intercooler Source --> Europa-List message posted by: Horizonspace@aol.com After scouring the net for a source for a suitable intercooler for our Rotax 914, I stumbled on the company that made the unit used in the Europa USA kit. As requested by Bob Borger, I am posting the following information for those of you interested in purchasing one, here's the info: Model: A225066050EAV01 Manufacturer: Bell Intercoolers, Inc. Address: 1421 Carver Lane, Irving, TX 75061 URL: _www.bellintercoolers.com_ (http://www.bellintercoolers.com) Contact: Gerhard Schruf E-mail: _gms@bellintercoolers.com_ (mailto:gms@bellintercoolers.com) Telephone: 972-513-1674 The list price was 299 USD as of 11/05 Please note that the unit does not come with hoses, clamps or installation instructions. Bob Borger has a picture of the kit on his website and may post the instructions there soon. We bought hoses and clamps from turbohoses.com and cut to fit but you should be able to use auto hoses (as delivered with the Europa kits) for much cheaper. I look forward to seeing you at the Europa tent. Cheers, John N262WF, mono XS, 912S Mooresville, North Carolina Time: 10:30:59 AM PST US From: Jeff B Subject: Re: Europa-List: Sun n Fun. Meet-up days Mary and I will be there Sunday - Sunday. I was under the impression that we would meet everyday at 11 am. Has anyone heard anything about a Europa specific parking area? I spoke with John Wheeler and he wasn't sure. He also expressed a desire to see "Baby Blue", so an area with all Europas would be great. At any rate, see you, who are attending, there... Regards Gottfried Komaier Gottfried, We contacted Mr. Schruf, ordered and received the intercooler unit all within a period of about two weeks. He was very helpful. It's very smooth before and after that. The carb's have been balanced, but my spinner is off about a 16th of an inch. Would that cause this? Is there anyone else having experienced this? Is it normal or should I keep digging? Thanks, Jeff A258 N128LJ The FAA called her an airplane and we're Picking the Airworthy paper Thursday 11:AM! Now waiting for perfect weather for that first flight. ________________________________ Message 6 _____________________________________ Time: 09:10:32 PM PST US From: "Cliff Shaw" Subject: Re: Europa-List: Rough Engine --> Europa-List message posted by: "Cliff Shaw" Jeff I will stick my nose in here until the guys in the UK wake up in the morning and explain this problem to us. The spinner "must" be balanced along with the prop. I would think that at some speed the vibration would be worse. 2600 is fairly low for prop miss balance , I think. The range of RPM you are having trouble with is the same as the carb throttle cable problem aria. I had a cable that was causing a problem like this . The cable clamp was too tight and would not pivot smoothly when advancing the throttle. Just my thoughts. Cliff Shaw 1041 Euclid ave.
