      Hi! Dean,Cliff,all
My experience with the MT brushes is excellent, They are most particular
that the brushes are set with explicit gaps to the slip rings AND MUST
      BE SLIGHTLY (2 deg)
INTO DRAG MODE NOT PUSH MODE. Until I wrecked my prop. last week I'm
only on my second set (600 hours) and both sets are only 50% worn.
      Regards
      Bob Harrison. G-PTAG

I thought my first set wore down quite fast. I had lots of black dust
around the front of the engine. I installed a replacement from
Airmaster last year. Now there is no dust and the brushes are as good as
new. I think there is a change in the brushes. I would suggest you sent
them an Email and get your new brush set from them. That is what I did.

Has anyone gotten brushes for the Airmaster cs prop from anywhere other
      than
New Zealand? Just wondering if there was anywhere closer to the states
      than
Airmaster. Shipping from there will probably be more than the parts.

Life's a bitch! My wife has told me I have got to flying on Sunday. I

      Hi! Bryan
Had a Rotax 914 flight experience this morning courtesy Mike Parkin in
G-JULZ. Great aircraft . Then drove to North Coates since I=92d forgot
that you were going Sunday !
Guess who turned up ? Mike in G-JULZ. (And Alan Hemmings who was the
pax with me on my incident ), with cross wind on maximum.
At least Mono Wheels don=92t have a bloody nose wheel to cock up on you
      !
or at least not in the way G-PTAG did !!!!!

Yep. I have my ear to the ground for any spare seats on David=92s trip
      to
the Canairies in September since I can=92t see G-PTAG getting in the air
soon enough for that unless someone gets to grips with the insurers and
      quotes.

Received an interesting picture from Ivan Shaw of Liberty over Dover
Cliffs on a photo shoot for Flyer Mag. I wonder why they changed the
nose wheel, leg and castering arrangement ?????????????

      Regard
      Bob H
PS No offence taken I realise that most locals to the Crooked Spire are
ignorant, that=92s why I hoped to see you at North Coates today =85.you
could have bought the bacon butties !

      Nev,

We have a great Hooters just up the road, between home and the
airport (KDTO). Great wings, buffalo shrimp (my favorite!), massive
quantities of Freedom Fries or rings and barrels of Bud or just about
any other libation you wish. Any time you are in N.Texas you have a
place to stay and no worry about dining.

Hope to meet you in person one day on one side of the pond or the other.

      Good building and great flying,

| Subject: | N40SH gets it's airworthiness certificate |

N40SH (A143) received its airworthiness cerificate yesterday from the Scottsdale
FSDO. It passed easily after loosening up the alierons a bit. What was more
satisifying however was passing the Kim Prout inspection after that. It was
easily three times more detailed than the government inspection. Kim found a
couple of detail items. Other than that she's ready to go!

Engine runups and taxi tests in the mid day AZ triple digits revealed an effective
cooling setup. As expected, static runs produced high indicated temperatures.
However running at low taxi-speeds resulted in an immediate and solid
10 degree reduction in cylinder head temperature. It is the expectation that
this follows through in the upper speed range also. The plane has some Dave
and Terry cooling mods as well as several of my own.

First flights will occurr when arrangements are made with Bob Lindsay.
