Hello John,
Well I'm beating my drum for you and beating myself around the ears at
the same time for being so far behind you. Really good news mate.

Yeah well that's not bad seeing as you got yourself married in the
meantime. Surely you took some time off for that !
Good luck with the flying John and looking forward to hearing all about
it.
Cheers

Richard,
I used the 1/4" bolts according to the directions, but if I had it to do
again I would have used
bolts on each side instead of one side. And yes Cliff, mine sets higher than
with the bunjee's.

Hi all,
Just a quick note to say that G-BZTN finally got air below her wheels at
1150z today. The feeling is wonderful especially as I was able to make
the first flight myself. Much thanks for that must go to Francis
Donaldson for being very realistic about experience requirements and
John Brownlow for the check out (and Peter Mylem for lending his
aircraft).
Special thanks must also go to Nev and Andy, all at E'2004 and "Pete the
Permit" my long suffering inspector for putting up with my enless
queries, goofs etc! Also Francis and Andy must get a mention again for
turning round the paperwork in just two working days. Lets hope that
this is a sign of the future for PFA engineering.
Finally the bit for Rowan:
G-BZTN is an XS Trigear/914/arplast. Build time 3200hrs. Weight 934lbs
First flight from Perth EGPT.
See you all at FFF06!
Simon A Smith
(no longer a builder!)

Greetings all,
Just wanted to let everybody know that at 2:46 PM EDT today, Europa
XS A-245, hereinafter to be known as N245E, earned it's Special
Airworthiness Certificate and now is officially entering Phase I flight
testing. The first flight will occur sometime in the next few days as
soon as I replace the nosegear bungee with the Mod 71 springs.
I haven't added up the hours yet, but construction began on October
3rd, 2002 and was completed on April 25, 2006 in a nearly continuous
effort.
Numbers and spec's to follow. Right now, it's beer thirty........
Regards,
John Lawton
