Hi Peter, can you please send me your 'auto flap retract' drawings, i already have a pcb which accomodates two seporate flap up/down push buttons with auto cancel & two seporate sets of trim switches (stick & panel) with auto cancel , i want to see if i can accomodate your flap auto retract in my layout, thanks, steve vestuti #573 use s.vestuti@virgin.net ---------------- Visit EuropaOwnersForum http://www.europaowners.org/ ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 01:38:19 AM PST US From: "David Joyce" Subject: Re: Europa-List: Skidded turn traffic pattern stall video --> Europa-List message posted by: "David Joyce" Duncan, I find that on approach idling I have 550 fpm down (from memory) and this increases to 700-750 down with full L. rudder side slip. Not dramatic but if you have got a forced landing approach almost right it is a perfect way of fine tuning. If you are way too high then S turns are the thing, but they bring their own risks of course. This was delivered as part of Kit 493 with the intention of making a motorglider. The stage 1 kit though is for a short wing as at the time, the motorglider wings had not been fully designed. The resins are out of date but everything else is in good order. Making your wiring diagrams available to the list could help out many of your fellow flyers. I would be very interested in seeing them. At first sight, it may appear both complicated and indeed, overcomplicated but reading the description should clarify whats going on and why there are a few more relay contacts than you may think are necessary. I guess that this has been installed on the aeroplane for about 100hrs and to date, has proved faultless. Any questions, please feel free to ask. I have read the directions and am looking for those of you experts out ther that have experience and that might give a step by stepon the use for our rotax engines. Like pressures to set the guauge that has pressure delivered to via the outside pressure and what to look for in the other guage . What noises if any when the pressre in clyn. reaches it max and what gauges are doing etc. I guess i'm looking for a step by step Thanks for advice and help. This appears to be due to vibration. Some owners are on their third oil sender after only a few hundred hours. As a result when my sender failed I fitted a short length of hose between it and the crankcase. This allows the sender to be mounted remotely reducing the effects of vibration. Nigel Charles
