It's working just fine. Our's is an XS builder A185 with the Europa aluminum wheel, in case that matters. Paul McAllister kindly sent me another idea which can be seen at the Sept 2003 page on his website at http://europa363.versadev.com/. This involves installing brackets from the sides of the duct to the bottom supports on the cooler. This is what I have chosen to do. Thanks and regards, John *From: "Steven Pitt" *Subject: Re: Europa-List: Problem with XS oil cooler - N262WF *John Somewhere in the back of my mind is an instruction that if you want to *lower the radiator you can (should) use a threaded bar/bolt which *attaches to both the upper and lower brackets, thus giving a firmer *anchor and avoiding the potential turning moment in the upper bracket *which you seem to have suffered. Does this make sense? I think the paper *suggested this depending on the weight/size of the radiator but it seems *to be appropriate in this instance. *I've tried to find the written word without success but someone more *technically minded may have the answer. *Regards Steve Pitt ________________________________ Message 4 _____________________________________ Time: 09:17:17 AM PST US Subject: Europa-List: Crack prevention of fuse seams? Ron I couldn't get tie wrap bases to stick with anything including redux (Ampreg) Ended up laying up a sandwich of scraps of bid around a piece of thin tube covered in release wax Pulled the tube out and cut 5mm strips of the sandwich. They bond on well with redux and the cable tie goes through the hole. Don't know if attached pic will be stripped on the list but should appear in the owners forum Regards Paul G-GIDY On 16 Aug 2006, at 17:25, wrote: > --> Europa-List message posted by: > > What is favorite rudder cable guides material? > > Nylaflow or Nylo-Seal? Nylaflow because there was a big roll left over from the Cozy build What is favorite way to adhere to baggage bay ribs? Wire ties and Nylaflow in this picture... http://www.europaowners.org/modules/gallery/albums/FuelDrains/DSCN3974.sized.jpg http://www.europaowners.org/modules/gallery/albums/SteveD/DSCN3915.sized.jpg Going through fuse? Ruff up and redux... What is favorite way of holding wires in aft fuse? Do supplied sticky back ty-wrap bases really hold up in use? Is preference to use bases, but stick another way? Redux? For one light weight wire foam back tape seems to work. Bundle oh wires, I remove the foam tape and put the backs to the belt sander then Redux on. Needed a chisel to pop one off once. Any other preferences? For wire bundles thru the cockpit i shaped a fiberglass rounded edge conduit over some wood. Then it was leathery, shaped in to the fuselage. Came out like Cr&5$%. Ordered some of this stuff: https://www.netcablesplus.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=3653 We'll see how that works... At least I can get back at the wires if I need to. Lesson learned with a Cozy "simple" rewire job..... Try the ones from AS, cant remember the brand name , they were self adhesive/epoxied on and worked pretty good or scuff sand a nylon one and 5 min epoxy works well. ________________________________ Message 10 ____________________________________ Time: 08:19:00 PM PST US From: Kevin And Ann Klinefelter Subject: Re: Europa-List: Favorite cable guide and wire holders? --> Europa-List message posted by: Kevin And Ann Klinefelter Nylo-seal is the best fit for the cable. I attached to baggage bay ribs with adel clamps. Then thru the balance weight plywood reduxed. Same for thru the sternpost and side of fuse. sticky back bases did not hold for me, so i sanded and reduxed em.(peel the sticky foam off first) Kevin rparigor@suffolk.lib.ny.us wrote: >--> Europa-List message posted by: > >What is favorite rudder cable guides material? > >Nylaflow or Nylo-Seal?
