I'd like to fly tomorrow, so if anyone else missed Enstone, or wants to do another DOTH so soon, how about Sturgate ( in Flyer ) on Thursday 7th., 1200ish?. Never been there so I don't know about catering. Cheers, Paddy ps Another possibility is Shipdam ( in Pilot ) , if anyone has strong views against Sturgate. Paddy Clarke Europa XS - 404 G-KIMM

Enstone yesterday was three Richards, a Bob, a William and a Bryan ! Went to Sturgate today - Wed. Free voucher applies weekends and "some" weekday evenings. Not Wed noon or Thurs noon. It is only 5 anyway ! The Club that is open at weekends _may_ have catering - there was just a cup of coffee today ! had to go to Gamston for lunch ! (Where the resturant is up the stairs at the back of the Diamond hanger !) Richard Holder G-OWWW

Make a note in your diaries for this Sunday, the 10th September. The Laddingford Fly-In in Kent, UK. Laddingford is located 9nm West of Headcorn on the North side of the East/West railway line. Don't confuse it with Old Hay to the South of the railway line almost at the same location. Runways are 11/29 which is 750 mtrs long and 03/21 which is 470 mtrs long. All circuits to the North or East and the Safetycom frequency 135.47 will be in operation. We will have a barbecue running from around 12 onwards with a nominal 3 UK Pounds donation asked. We normally have a good turnout for this with lots of Europas in attendance, 19 being the rocord to date, so why not come on down and join in the fun. Dave Watts G-BXDY Laddingford Airfield Manager.

Paul, For my Woodcomp prop I used a "crowsfoot" open ended socket ( from an auto supply store), and adjusted the torque setting for the extra length of the socket. --> Europa-List message posted by: "Tim Ward" <ward.t@xtra.co.nz> Paul, Make your own torque wrench as I did for the airmaster prop as I had the same problem. Bolt the correct spanner size to a piece of 'U' aluminum to take it exactly to 1 foot length from the bolt to the end. Drill a hole at the other end and with a spring weight (hardware stall) tighten up the bolt to the correct torque through the weight at 90 degrees. Very accurate. Keep the tool as you will need it in the future!! Hi all, I am just about ready to order my cs prop. I was set on the Woodcomp. The company came back with the question "curved or straight" blades! My question now is: Did anybody on this list has some comments on the new curved design from Woodcomp? Attached you find pictures from the curved and straight blade design. I could not get good advise so far which would be better for my Tri Gear Europa XS with a 914. Are there any performance data available? Thanks in advance Michael Grass Europa XS TriGear, 914 Rotax Detroit, Michigan <html><body> <DIV>Hi all,</DIV> <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV>I am just about ready to order my cs prop. --> Europa-List message posted by: "Karl Heindl" <kheindl@msn.com> Michael, I have never seen the curved design. I bought the two-bladed SR3000/2W which is a different shape again: quite wide at the root with a lot of twist. It was designed for the 100-115 hp range. I am having problems with it which I hope to have resolved soon. Currently using Warp Drive again. You should first ask them what engine etc. it was designed for. Other builders have gone for the straight blades and are very happy with it.
