during my annual (950hrs) I have discovered that my bungee cord is getting a little tired... anybody knows the diameter (in inches) and the length, so I can order it from Spruce? It seems I would also need a new brake master cylinder (Monowheel MkI) as mine doesn't come back easily once released after applying brake pressure; is anyone (who modified to trigear) selling his one? Or any clue where to purchase a new cylinder? Thanks! Klaus -- Klaus Dietrich Oracle Financing EMEA Tel/Fax: +43 1 33 777 825 http://eofd.oraclecorp.com

Klaus, please try R=FCdiger Klink. He changed from Monowheel to Tri-Gear and should have these parts still available for "kleines Geld". _klinkhoerakustik@t-online.de_ (mailto:klinkhoerakustik@t-online.de) or _klink@t-online.de_ (mailto:klink@t-online.de) The same is with Joachim Hohenstein at Stade near Hamburg. He changed too. Another contact is Erich Gabbe, also flying in Stade. He knows all the Classic Europa Pilots from that Hamburg/stade area very well and definately can help you. _eupa91@gmx.de_ (mailto:eupa91@gmx.de) When you need further help, I will do. Best wishes from Germany, Bruno Reith/Europa Aircraft Germany

--> Europa-List message posted by: "Paul McAllister" <paul.mcallister@qia.net> Karl, Is this question directed to my 914 fuel injection project ? If so, slowly. - I have purchased another 914 engine minus the exhaust and turbo charger. - I have also got a hold of a bunch of fuel injection nozzles, and assorted bits - The next step is to get a hold of an engine mount so I can put it on an engine stand. - I then need to fabricate an inlet manifold and throttle body, then think about radiators and so on. Essentially this is a winter time project that I expect to spread over many winters. If I can get it working, figure out engine timing / spark mappings and convince myself that its safe then I will put it on my Europa. If not, then I learn't a bunch of things that I didn't know before Cheers, Paul do not archive -----Original Message----- From: owner-europa-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-europa-list-server@matronics.com]On Behalf Of Karl Heindl Sent: Tuesday, September 19, 2006 7:08 PM Subject: PROBABLE SPAM> Re: Europa-List: brake master cylinder, bungee cord --> Europa-List message posted by: "Karl Heindl" <kheindl@msn.com> How is your Smart engine coming along ? do not archive >From: UVTReith@aol.com >To: europa-list@matronics.com >Subject: Re: Europa-List: brake master cylinder, bungee cord >Date: Tue, 19 Sep 2006 17:17:17 EDT > >Klaus, > >please try Rdiger Klink. Subject: UPDATE: Oshkosh by air - return by Avis UPDATE
Those still interested in the results of my 914's loss of power while returning from Oshkosh. The root cause was an inadvertent rubber cap being left on the Rotax static port. It was installed during sanding and painting and still had the remove before flight tape across it when found. I have now put several hours on the airplane and tonight took it up to 10,500 feet for 2 hours over a nearby airport to be sure the engine was regulating the pressure correctly from the turbo unit. All seems to be fine and I am growing in my comfort level with the aircraft once again. Figure another "local" cross country flight and I will be ready to head back out and start joining the fly-in crowd once again. Thanks to everyone for suggestions and advice! Rich Schultz N262AE Houston, Texas

--> Europa-List message posted by: "Steve Hagar" <hagargs@earthlink.net> You might try installing the Matco Master cylinder hand brake assy that goes on the control stick. I have that installed on my plane with a few mods. It makes it real handy for ground handling and pushing the plane around as you can reach in to the stick and brake. Its handy as my plane has to go up and down a small incline on the driveway and it is easy to modulate the speed to reach in to the stick.
