    Subject: WLAS [Please Read]
Dear Listers, I sat down at the 'ol computer tonight to have a look at a few of the nice comments List Members have been including along with their Contributions this year. I was amazed at how many I found and even more amazed at some of the very nice things Listers have been saying about the Lists and how valuable the they are to them. I've included quite a few of these nice comments below. Please read over some of this great Lister feedback. No doubt you will find that you agree with at least one or two of those comments - maybe all of them! If you find that do, won't you please make a Contribution to support these Lists today!! Its fast and easy with the Matronics List Contribution Web Site: http://www.matronics.com/contribution Don't forget that I've now fully implemented the new *List Fund Raiser Squelch* feature that will automatically intercept any future iterations of my "Please Contribute" messages -- that is, *once you've made YOUR Contribution*! How cool is that? (Make sure the email address you enter along with your Contribution matches exactly your subscribed List email address. An exact match is how it works.) Thank you for your generous Contributions this year and for all the wonderful comments!! Salut Klaus Comment vas-tu? Hi Klaus I have not seen the True Track autopilot servo but assuming it is no bigger than the Navaid one there is no reason why you shouldn't use the standard mod I produced for the Navaid servo installation. This uses one of the underseat lockers for the servo with a small hole through the bracing plywood to the torque tube tunnel. See the mod on the club website for details. Hello Thomas I know on the 914 that the torque is different as compared to the manual I downloaded (bout a year aga with updates) if you use the Whacker thermal conductive compound. The Whacker use is in on of Rotax notices and was issued before 2000. If you need an immediate answer, call Lockwood or other Service Center. If can't find, let me know and will look it up at the hanger. BTW what don't you like about the Xtra pistons? Ron Parigoris

Thanks! Best regards, Svein LN-SKJ Svein, We have both the Mocal and the Permacool unit from Lockwood and will most likely install the Mocal. The Permacool seems to be just a cheap imitation of the Mocal. Here are the characteristics we observed: Mocal: Milled aluminum body; available in several AN-fittings; comes with mounting bracket Permacool: Cast aluminum body; 1/2 NPT fittings; no bracket Both units are identical in size and shape. vCard My understanding is that your Europa club mod for the Navaid servo is for roll as opposed to pitch. Presumably the altitude hold would require pitch input. It would be difficult to modify controls in the cockpit module to fit such a servo. Probably much simpler to fit aft of the cockpit module but in any event a retrofit will be difficult. If you haven't already looked, there are some ideas at http://www.trutrakflightsystems.com/documents/LegacyPitchandRoll.pdf although if the bolt shown were to loosen then the cyclical bending loads could lead to distress. Probably unlikely, but the consequences of failure here don't bear thinking about. vCardIf you take a look at: http://www.trioavionics.com/literature.htm If you download the altitude hold document, you can see how Trio recommend doing it - I think that they say you can't just grab hold of the elevator push rod as a small proportion of the servos push could be turned into rotation by the rose joints with the consequence of a system that spends its life 'hunting'. Subject: Circuit Diagram - Issue 4
Hi, Back in July, on this forum, Mike Gregory mentioned an Issue 4 of the wiring circuit diagram. How / where can I get hold of a copy.? Both the Factory and Club websites' pdf build manuals show Issue 1 circuit diagrams. (As does my 2003 build manual). With thanks, Dave Moore Monowheel #550 Aberdeen, UK.
