They are needed to fit some existing holes. A/C Spruce no longer supplies them and I do not know of anyone who does. While they are not very nice and I have considered alternatives direct replacements would save quite a bit of work. Happy to pay reasonable price and postage. Shobdon is fairly central and has a hard East/West R/W, so I suggest there at 1200ish. Voucher in Pilot. Hi All, Yes, Graham is correct, the temp' limit of all the blue foam components is about 55C, curing at higher temps than that, you are pushing your luck.It will refoam. There is no need to post cure the premolded parts [ wings / fuselage] for structural reasons, but curing all filler to 55C will help prevent movement later. Black bin liners left in the strong sunlight could push temps up higher than is safe on the foam components, you guys lucky to have sun at the moment [ remember I am stuck in Yorkshire !] do a ''car park check'' Put your hand on a white car that is in the sun.... cool to touch? Now put your hand on to a dark car, bet you will not be able to keep it on a black one for long? Try other colours [ note the correct spelling], you will see how the darker it is, the hotter it will be? [Silver gets hotter than you would think?] Whatever way you chose to post cure the blue foam parts, ensure they cannot get warped. Clamp metal angle stock to the thin trailing edges, and where possible, leave them resting on the leading edge. Good luck, send me a tin of sunshine! Cheers, Nev, [ cold and wet !] ________________________________ Message 6 _____________________________________ Time: 11:42:23 AM PST US From: "m.clews" Subject: Re: Europa-List: DOTH Thu 4th Shobdon Best of the weather tomorrow but we're off to a funeral in Bristol, give you a wave though! The first flight lasted 20 minutes and she performed faultlessly - a pleasure to fly. There was only the slightest wing drop in a full flap power on stall, and otherwise she has no vices. The grin has started and will only get bigger when I get my hands on the controls. I'd like to thank all those wonderful people who helped with the build and final preparations for today's momentous event, in particular Andy Draper, Nev Eyre, John Wheeler and everyone at Europa 2004 and especially Matthew Russell. Having emigrated and brought her out almost complete, here in NZ my thanks go especially to Rex Kenny of the CAA, Bill Sisley (President of the SAANZ) and Colin Alexander of Rotax fame and Mike Chubb and Mike Edgey of Northland Aviation. She now has to go through 40 hours of test-flying which will be shared between John Martin and Bill Sisley before I can do my type rating. What better New Year's present could there be! Cheers everyone.
