Hans,
Many thanks for the introduction. I have e-mailed Paul requesting the
best way of implementing a strip.
Kind regards
John

I have 6 years on my tire with no issues, tread and side wall look good.
Should I be changing it out due to age? How long can I go with this? Thanks
Jerry

Hey Jerry...just an uneducated comment: If most of those 6 years have
been spent w/ the bird on its trailer and out of the sun, my hunch is
the UV rays which we know are the bane of the sidewalls will not have
had the deleterious effects one would expect had it been parked on the
ramp. How many t/os and land'gs?

Thats sounds great Gerry - ill ring her in the morning, i had seen some horrific
prices at about 550- gulp!!!
My Permit to TestFly was slow due to the CofG, my empty CofG came in at 61.5" -
the PFA were not impressed!!! (even though it was within limits) Moving the battery
to the Stb. firewall and more accuratly meausing the AXLE ARMS brought
the empty CofG to 59.7" - a big relief and lighter by removing the battery cables!
in all it took about 4 weeks including the mod.
no weights were needed.
Good luck with yours gerry and post/send some pictures when your done,
regards, steve.

The one supplied by the factory is a really good fit and has given me 4
years service with no sign of wear.

The one from Europa is pretty good and under 200. They've recently (about 6
months ago) changed supplier - the fit is very good and its pretty much
waterproof (though condensation does seem to form on the screen).
Other supplier you could look at is a company called cover systems - but I
doubt you're going to get one any cheaper than Europa (unless you're handy
with a sewing machine!).

Flight,
I need some direction (lots) on how to troubleshoot/test my Rotax generator
and regulator to determine the reason why I have no power other than battery
power.
Thanks,

Steve,
I had that problem.
Thought it was the regulator and had it tested ...no. It turned out to
be the connecting DIN plug to the regulator was not sufficiently home
and one of the female/male connections within the plug was not
connecting probably. Dismantle the plug and clean. Check each connection
is positively connecting and alter if necessary the female connector to
make a positive connection.
Cheers,
Tim
