A Europa aircraft, G-HOFC, crashed in South Wales yesterday. Sadly, both pilots
were killed. The BBC news article doesn't mention any names but that was William
Mill's aircraft. It is unclear at this time how the accident happened.

killed as William Mills and Paul Sweeting. David Joyce

Very sad day.
I had the pleasure of communicating with William on a number of occasions, and
i was fortunate enough to meet with him a couple of times. He was a very enthusiastic
flyer taking every opportunity to get in the air.
William will be sadly missed.
My thoughts and condolences go out to both families.

Kate and I are both totally numb at the tragic news of the loss of William
and Paul, two good friends. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to
their families and numerous friends. The group will not be the same without
their smiling faces and good humour. Every time we attend a Europa gathering
of any kind, I know we will look to the door expecting them to appear at any
moment for many years to come.
I'm sure they are both now flying with angels

The world is a poorer place without Paul and William. I will miss very much
William's smile and soft voice. We have lost a real gentleman of the Europa

I'm just stunned...met William at Sun N Fun a few weeks ago...what a
gentleman...I'll miss not seeing him again and his helpful posts on our
list...all my sympathies go out to Diana, his family, and many dear

It saddens me greatly that William made a mistake or wrong decision or
whatever and it cost he and Paul their lives. I thank my Guardian Angel
that my own wrong decisions didn't cost me a similar price.
William had an open and agile mind, (Paul did too) and he had enormous
enthusiasm for the Europa and what it does for us all. I will try not to
forget the things I learned from them both and I will smile when I
remember them.
