The trim system i was looking at was for the cozy. but we could use it, under the seat i am guessing would be the best spot acting on the torque tube, no steel springs to fail etc, benign failure if it does brake for some reason. http://www.maddyhome.com/canardpages/pages/waynehicks/chapter_17_1.htm here is the method they are using to make the "Spring" sorry there isnt much detail here http://www.maddyhome.com/canardpages/pages/JonDembs/Ch17.htm and go to the bottom. I'm sure the cozy boys wont mind sharing one of their mods with us : ) -----Original Message----- From: owner-europa-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-europa-list-server@matronics.com]On Behalf Of Rick Stockton Sent: Monday, 10 December 2007 1:13 PM To: europa-list@matronics.com Subject: Re: Europa-List: Aileron Trim servo I remember seeing this trim setup for another airplane and decided to do the same for the Europa. I think it was on an RV-6 or 9. I tried looking through my URL that I have saved, but could not find it. I don't think it would be to hard to set it up. I'm working on the cockpit module now and will be installing the aileron push rod in the next couple of weeks. That was one of the mods I will be making. I did not like like the trim out on the aileron and covered it back up. I'll sent you some of the pictures as I start to work on it. craig bastin wrote: Can someone point me in the right direction to an article i saw (here i think) 11:29 AM ________________________________ Message 3 _____________________________________ Time: 04:23:50 AM PST US Subject: Europa-List: Update on Aileron trim servo From: "raggi6771" Just in case you missed it the first time, here is an aileron trim system IMHO that would be great for us Europhiles. Its from the cozy canard system, and i think it would be easily adapted to Europa, either under the seat, or in a captive sliding arrangement on the push rod itself, or maybe in one wing. http://www.maddyhome.com/canardpages/pages/waynehicks/chapter_17_1.htm here is the method they are using to make the "Spring" sorry there isn't much detail here http://www.maddyhome.com/canardpages/pages/JonDembs/Ch17.htm and go to the bottom. The Rotax 912 ULS was sawn from the fuselage as well as the instrument panel. Even the propeller was sawn so that we can presume they did it to store the stolen goods in a small van. If you ask me to follow the traces then I should go East, but I don't know where. Karel Vranken. I knew I had see it, but where? I copied both links and will be looking at doing it this month. I start vacation on the 22nd and have until the 7th off. I'm hoping I can do a lot of work on the kit.
