Subject: | DOTH Thursday Cancelled!! |
Hi All,
Sorry folks it seems I chose the wrong day - the forecast for here is
to remain below 1000ft all day. The DOTH is consequently cancelled,
and I can't make tomorrow so I'll try for the beginning of next week.
All the Best, Paddy

Subject: | Hirth h30 engines |
I have done some weird engine mods in the past, so i dont see it being a
major hassle
plus having a machine shop (lathe, mill etc) in your garage helps : ) The
hardest bit i can see
is the PSRU, but i have a mate that builds drag bikes and cars and will do
the belt drive reduction (rated to 300hp)
for me on his CNC so it is perfect pitch for the tooth belt.
My dad was a tool maker by trade, and he taught me a LOT as a kid. I have
already made quite a few custom parts for my XS
I guess i am lucky in that respect, if I see a need for a part, i just make
it, rather than having to get it made.

Craig...I'm envious of your technical skills which allow you to
consider such an audacious task.
As for the Gemini, below is an email address which you can use to

Does anyone in the southern UK own an ELECTRIC directional gyro that's
not in daily use.
If so could be borrowed or hired for two months for a specific project
starting now.

Thanks folks
What I'm after at the moment is a 'quick and dirty' check that the
stuff even works. So thanks for the ideas I'll get to it.
