Hi All, Sorry folks it seems I chose the wrong day - the forecast for here is to remain below 1000ft all day. The DOTH is consequently cancelled, and I can't make tomorrow so I'll try for the beginning of next week. My dad was a tool maker by trade, and he taught me a LOT as a kid. I have already made quite a few custom parts for my XS I guess i am lucky in that respect, if I see a need for a part, i just make it, rather than having to get it made. regards craig do not archive -----Original Message----- From: owner-europa-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-europa-list-server@matronics.com]On Behalf Of Fred Klein Sent: Thursday, 14 February 2008 12:00 PM Subject: Re: Europa-List: Hirth h30 engines On Wednesday, Feb 13, 2008, at 02:28 US/Pacific, craig bastin wrote: > still considering converting a GSXR1300 bike engine and then de-rating > it back to a sensible level. straight out of the box they are 180hp > with peak torque about the same as the 914 rotax, plus the weight > advantage of about 10kg over the 914. Craig...I'm envious of your technical skills which allow you to consider such an audacious task. If so could be borrowed or hired for two months for a specific project starting now.
