I'm looking for the part number or a source for those spade connectors that slide onto the spades of the Rotax (Ducati) regulator. I'm specifically looking for the ones that lock into the plastic housing (which holds all five or six connectors and then locks itself onto the regulator). I can find regular 1/4 in spade connectors but they don't lock into the housing and thus are very difficult to push on as the contacts are up inside the regulator some. Any ideas would be appreciated. I seem to recall it was some system where you start on one mag with a different timing setting and once the engine starts you turn on the second mag. Is there anyone out there who could enlighten me more on this ? Thanks, Paul ________________________________ Message 3 _____________________________________ Time: 01:14:35 PM PST US From: "David Watts" Subject: Re: Europa-List: Soft Start It is made and supplied by Conair a division of Skydrive in the UK. I have one fitted to my Europa which is a Classic with a 912S which means I am restricted to the original standard 912 starter which is of lower power than the S starter. I ran for 2 years with the standard setup and consistently had problems starting in the winter. Summer was fine but winter was a real nigtmare. Since fitting the Soft Start it always starts straight away. I don't really have a starting problem, but once in a great while mine will kick back. Does the Soft start product fix this ? Any other pointers would be appreciated.
