I DID RTFM and...... the other figure quoted in my manual is 17.25 KGf/m which is still what 125 foot pounds I did however just look at the manual online and it reads 1.725 kgf/m so it would seem that my manual is WRONG which is after all why i queried it. :) As for the nuts, mine weigh in at 4 grams each and are NOT magnetic, so it they are NOT aluminium I would love to know what they are. To me they have all the appearance of being hard annodised aluminium, same as all my flared line fittings, given the colour is imparted during the process (if they are annodised alloy) they could be any colour really. RTFM ! It is 150 INCH pounds ! And the nuts are brass coloured; definitely NOT aluminium or even aluminum ! Europaphiles, I have posted Tommy Meyers pics of the aftermath of the landing accident at K54F. They are in a nested album in the Builders Photo Album. From: "Jonathan Milbank" <jdmilbank@hotmail.com>
I'm in the UK and would like to buy a matched set of good undamaged second-hand Warp Drive tapered blades suitable for a Rotax 912UL. They could either have come off a Warp Drive ground-adjustable hub or be fitted with the ferrules suitable for an Airmaster variable pitch hub. I'm happy to pay a fair price which reflects their age and usage. Thanks from Jonathan Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=183660#183660

Hi Ferg, Paul McAlister has a Winter Airspeed indicator that is 2+1/4". Nice feature on a mono to be able to follow low airspeed with good resolution. It has same resolution (more than 360 degree sweep) as larger Winter that Europa sells. Ron Parigoris

Hi Craig "Does anyone know the legalities is drilled brake rotors" Can't tell you the legalities, but can tell you that there are an incredible number of holes needed to reduce weight, all of which need to be deburred on both sides. I built a custom motorcycle where I shoehorned a YTZ 250 motor into a YZ 80 frame (under 200 pounds with 65HP). I installed the disk brakes from the 450 pound beast but the rear rotor was not drilled. It happened to be same diameter as the front so I clamped together and transfer punched drill marks. Hours and hours and hours drilled on that rotor, then figured out there are 2 sides that need deburring! Looks pretty, I forget the exact weight savings but it was not as much as I would have liked for the amount of work invested. Supposedly helps with cooling. Good chance after you completed task, you would have hit on the perfect harmonics where each flight would yield a slight different "whistle"! Fooling aside, worth it to make a drill template so others can do the deed to their rotor. Very kool (cool) the increasing distance between drill marks swirl instead of in line registration as diameter increases. Ron Parigoris

To all you flying monowheelies... By any chance, does anyone have a measurement of the distance between the ground and the trailing edge of the flaps at the root (inboard tip) in the deployed, gear down, position? If not, I'd be much obliged if someone could take one and forward it to me. Not sure of the grade or hardness, but I intend to try and find out, we just used to buy them and bolt them on, they did turn blue occasionally if you really gave them a hard time, but I couldnt see them getting anywhere near the same punishment when on an aircraft, as speed will generally be a lot lower and weight is only up about 100kg and its normally only one big stop and your done -----Original Message----- From: owner-europa-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-europa-list-server@matronics.com]On Behalf Of Duncan & Ami McFadyean Sent: Monday, 19 May 2008 4:13 AM Subject: Re: Europa-List: Drilled brake Rotors (disks) <ami@mcfadyean.freeserve.co.uk> Can't answer that, but have you any info on the grade and hardness of the stainless material used? Hi All, I am looking for a source for quick disconnect fittings as shown in the attached photograph. It has barbs on the end for 1/8 tubing. I purchased the last ones from AC Spruce about 5 years ago but now they only stock the fitting with 1/4 barbs. I'd appreciate it if anyone can point me in the right direction. Thanks and regards, Paul
