Subject: | PRESS RELEASE - Europa Aircraft set to hit new heights |
Europa Aircraft has today announced exciting new plans for the future, which
will see significant investment into Research and Development, delivery of a
pro-active sales structure and dynamic marketing activity, together with
significant product development.
Europa Aircraft is now part of Swift Technology Group, run by David
Stanbridge. David comments: "I am extremely pleased to become a part of
Europa Aircraft - it's a fantastic company, with great products and
enthusiastic stakeholders. Our investment will guarantee the future of the
company and ensure Europa remains a major contender and popular brand in the
kit plane arena".
The company will continue to run under the current management structure from
the premises in Yorkshire.
David continues: "The Europa story is a great one and has a heritage we want
all to build upon - we are keen to ensure that the missions and philosophies
of Europa stay firmly in place but at the same time we are dedicated to
offering innovative, modern aircraft for wider market appeal".
Development has already started on further enhancements to the design of the
Europa XS models, including modifications for the LSA market and
finalisation of the Motorglider. This will be followed by the design and
manufacture of a brand new composite plane - available in self build form or
certified to CS-VLA.
This news that Europa Aircraft is once again raising the stakes in the kit
plane arena is sure to cause a stir in the industry and Europa have vowed
not to disappoint - more details will be released soon.

Congratulations David!
We owners salute you (and your capital!!)!
I have been flying for 4 years now, quite delighted with my XS
and looking forward to seeing and probably purchasing your
add-ons to existing airframes.
One idea I hope is in the queue is a long range tank for the XS.
IFR flight with the standard tank is limited to only about 2 hours
(at 6gph) when considering alternate and reserve. I was going to
plant an HDPE tank in the baggage bay, but an engineered solution
would be so much nicer!
Cheers,
Ira

I Googled Swift Aircraft and there is a short writeup in Wickepedia. It sounds
like their Corporate goals are highly compatible with Europa. It looks like
good news.

It does now, but I have experienced downtime on mulitple occasions the last couple
of weeks.
I agree that it can inconvenient if you're looking for things in a hurry. For me,
this 'looking for things' currently translates into 'absorbing as much information
as I can while I am in the process of buying a ready Europa', so I can
live with a little downtime every now and again
Maybe Jos (or Steve) can explain what is happening?
Jos: if you prefer, you can contact me off-line, maybe I can jump in and provide
some sort of service...
