Hi! Rowland Mine was 250mm excepting I used my usual "poetic license" which would have allowed adequate wrap round with the peel ply. However too much between the port spa and the seat back bulkhead may result in difficulty entering the port spa tip into it's receptacle socket on the starboard side. After all if properly prepared and adequately bonded to the top and bottom dimensions of the port spa then the strength of the wrap round may well be a side issue anyway. The likely forces would be parallel to the lay up and not in shear thereby making the wrap round irrelevant other than for psychological satisfaction ! As to why you had problems with the manual I can't say but of course adding all this "poetry" up makes for a heavy build ! .....But for me it's not so much the weight but the strength that is more important overall! X-mailer: iAVMailScanner 1.5.5.5 We have been with Jennings for the last 5 years and now have a good no claims record. Just had our renewal notice for next year and it is just over 1,100 - and that includes the addition of a relatively inexperienced pilot (besides myself). Thats for fully comp including crown indemnity, passsenger liability and hull cover to 35K. They allow us to split the payments into 4 quarterly lumps which also makes things easier. We think thats reasonable but havent shopped around so dont know if its a competetive figure. If interested, let me know and I will email their contact details. Hi! Willie Have a chat with Maureen Sanlon at Jennings 02086800688 e-mail :- maureen@jenningsinsure.co.uk They are underwritten by Haywards. Always done me a good service and you can pay quarterly by computer transfer into their clients call account. They paid out on my claim and it didn't change my premium. Maureen may well associate your "Handle" with me, give her my best wishes. Fellow Europaphiles, I remember a web page showing a jacking block for the swing-arm of a monowheel. I thought I had bookmarked the page, but now I can't find it. Is there anyone out there with the link to that page or with pics or drawings of the device? TIA. Rowland, Sorry about that. Point well taken. Should have been a more forceful notice put out to check the website for the latest manual changes, I'm afraid I only saw the one notice. The new manual does call for the 350 mm length. I now use my downloaded builders manual for all my operations because of those small and frustrating changes. You will find small corrections and sometimes more accurate techniques in the newer manual. I have the opposite problem, sometimes I have an old kit and the parts have been upgraded, and it does take a review of the Tech talk articles, Mods and such to ensure you have all the information you need for a speedy build. Good catch, it shows attention to detail and will result in a great flying plane. Keep on building.
