If so, would be interested to know how you have found it. This device turns the electric MAC elevator trim from a time based control to a positional control like in Cessnas etc. Cheers Kingsley in Oz ________________________________ Message 3 _____________________________________ Time: 04:12:21 AM PST US From: Graham Singleton Subject: Re: Europa-List: Elevator Trim Kingsley Hurst wrote: > > > Just wondering if anybody has installed the trim wheel available at > www.PerihelionDesign.com/moreproducts.htm second item down the page. > > If so, would be interested to know how you have found it. > > This device turns the electric MAC elevator trim from a time based > control to a positional control like in Cessnas etc. > > Cheers > Kingsley in Oz Sounds like a very good plan,Kingsley. I would prefer the wheel to the standard set-up not that I am saying there is anything wrong with the latter. . . I already have it installed ! Hope you're keeping well Ole mate! In simplicity and reliability there is not much that can improve upon the original Europa trim design. Any additional electrical component can fail as well. What's next? Some years ago I attended an airshow at the Woodford aerodrome ( the home of AVRO aircraft) the weather was not good and the announcer made a great thing of the F111's advanced avionics giving it all weather capability, he kept this up for an extended period claiming that it was carrying out a high speed flypast ! nothing was seen, after some time we heard that Manchester international airport had reported a very high speed aircraft had flown the length of its runway at low level. This then makes room for the fingerbrakes on top of the tunnel (non-standard mod) and a few other gadgets=2C and leaving room for a large clip-on lid on top of the tunnel. The bottom of the bay and the fron t bulkhead are made out of lexan. So I have a window for aerial photography =2C and an easy inspection of the nosewheel suspension. I have easy access to the fuel and brake lines=2C and coax cables and rudder cables=2C all of which are attached to the interior walls.I even have the controls for the g lider wing airbrakes in there. I use the extra space mainly for keeping my maps and other flying gear. This winter I am modifying the floor window so that it can be opened. So I could lob a few handgranades if I felt like it. X-mailer: iAVMailScanner 1.5.5.5 Ours was done some while ago (Grand Rapids). I didnt wire the panel myself but as far as I know there is no special arrangement. The GR installation manual makes no reference to the need for diodes etc. One small isue is that our Rotax analogue gauge under reads by about 300 RPM but this may just be the meter. I believe there is an adjusting screw in the back but we never bothered to change it. One of those little jobs that never seems to get done.
