The Mod application covers the Navaid, TruTrack and Trio SINGLE AXIS (Roll) only. I started by doing the TruTrack but Andy asked me to do it as a generic mod for all three. This means that the old Navaid mod (10507) will be replaced with this version. The continued use of the Navaid Servo with a new head (Trio) is (from memory) covered. The mod also refers to (rather than repeats) the LAA document "LAA Inspection Checks LA/IC-APWL". I am aware of two owners waiting on the approval, one TruTrack and one Trio. If anyone wants a copy of the draft Mod let me know. As you say turnaround of Mods with the LAA can be very slow. This is particularly true if they are not holding up someone's permit to test. I have chased Andy again this week. It should be noted that there are a few small errors that we are still ironing out but we hope to address those by the middle part of next week. If you have any comments please feel free to let us have them. Also as soon as we iron out a few last minute hosting issues this same site will be available at www.europa-aircraft.com as well as www.europa-aircraft.biz. He was a lucky guy. Also on page 3, there are some further comments regarding the servo cover plate screws which have been found to be loose on some installations. My earlier impressions had been that Tru Trak makes some nice equipment. However, it seems that their servo design needs improvement. Well done. Nice to see the Europa fighting back against all the new designs. The site and the Idea we have a new and hopefully forward thinking Europa is quite exciting. May I suggest without starting any flaming as they move onto some new Ideas. For all us tri-guys... I mean those of use with 3 wheels in the breeze ;o) a new design to the cockpit module with the room of the tunnel downsized. I did a mod with Gold Rush that cut it down but I'm sure with the right engineering the strength gained from the tunnel could be compensated with something a lot smaller. I guess for that matter it could work for all you conventional gear guys as well. Nice to see bright things on the horizon for our beloved bird. Jeff R. The cockpit module is heavy and requires a lot of help to get it in right and it is very time consuming to build for the novice, and for the company to construct. Keep the ideas coming. Go to my website and download the heater. One inch tubes is all you need really to keep the plane warm.
