Dear Listers, Each year at the end of the List Fund Raiser, I post a message acknowledging everyone that so generously made a Contribution to support the Lists. Its sort of my way of publicly thanking everyone that took a minute to show their appreciation for the Lists. Won't you take a moment and assure that your name is on that List of Contributors (LOC)? As a number of members have pointed out over the years, the List seems at least - if not a whole lot more - valuable as a building/flying/recreating/entertainment tool as your typical magazine subscription! Please take minute and assure that your name is on this year's LOC! Show others that you appreciate the Lists. Making a Contribution to support the Lists is fast and easy using your Credit card or Paypal on the Secure Web Site: http://www.matronics.com/contribution or by popping a personal check in the mail to: Matronics Email Lists c/o Matt Dralle PO Box 347 Livermore CA 94551-0347 I would like to thank everyone that has so generously made a Contribution thus far in this year's List Fund Raiser! Remember that its YOUR support that keeps these Lists going and improving! Don't forget to include a little comment about how the Lists have helped you! Best regards, Matt Dralle Email List Administrator

Karel The two I referred to are both in the UK so you are the third. So even more reason to pressure Andy Draper. Ian Rickard G-IANI XS Trigear, 200 hours Europa Club Mods Rep (Trigear) e-mail mods@europaclub.org.uk or direct g-iani@ntlworld.com

Hi Tim, So happy that i can correct my own mistake before some else points it out: The Dynon autopilot has trim sensing and a trim indicator will pop up if an adjustable threshold has been reached. And yes, it has features not found elsewhere, for a price lower then anything close. Everything feasible is adjustable on screen. And adjusting is needed but not too difficult. Bud I have looked at your heater and it is in principal the same as mine and many others. That is taking the warm air off the rear of the water radiator. Mine is fitted but not operational (fire wall phenolic is bolted over the outlets of the SCAT tubes) The reason for this is that Francis Donaldson (LAA) insists on a fire stop valve at the point were the tube passes through the fire wall. One builder, Mike Parkin, has made up some very expensive petal valves to achieve this. See attached. I am still looking for a cheaper and simpler solution to these valves. Obviously US regulation is not the same as ours. What are your thoughts on a) the need for fire stop valves and b) a simpler cheaper way of achieving a fire stop? The cockpit module is heavy and requires a lot of help to get it in right and it is very time consuming to build for the novice, and for the company to construct. Keep the ideas coming. Go to my website and download the heater. One inch tubes is all you need really to keep the plane warm. Bud Custom Flight Creations

Here's my method of maintaining firewall integrity. The brass colored item hooked between the two tabs is a fusible link (McMaster-Carr part number 1147A14) with a melting point of 100 deg C. The stainless steel flap employs a hinge with a spring to snap it shut once the fusible link melts. This takes more space than Mike's scheme but it is an inexpensive solution.
