Hi Fred,
>From a fully assembled wing (de rigged from A/C), first detach OR5 (Flap drive
link) from FL 3 (Inner flap hinge arm), Then you can rotate the flap completely
round to rest on the top surface of the wing.
Then you can remove the aileron as if the flap was not there.
I hope this helps

?
Gentlemen,?
?
I'm wondering what the sequence is for attaching and detaching the
ailerons and flaps once the aircraft is complete. Having trimmed the
bolt embedded in the inboard end of the aileron and fitted the flaps
(including the inboard extension), I can't for the life of me see how
one can attach the aileron to the wing with the flap already installed.
For that matter, it appears to me that an aileron cannot be detached
from the wing with the flap in place either in the retracted or
deployed position.?
?
It appears that ailerons must be attached first, and then (and only
then) the flaps can be attached in the deployed position.?
?
So my question is: If (for some reason) one would desire to detach an
aileron from the wing, must the flap be detached first??
?
(That seems to be the case for me, and I'm wondering if this is SOP or
if I've screwed up somewhere along the line.)?
?
Thanks for any comments from your experience,?
?
Fred?

Pete
didn't you mean "you can rotate the flap completely round to rest on the
_bottom_ surface of the wing."

Fred
It depends on exactly how the end of the aileron is made but in general you
are correct. It is very difficult to remove the aileron without removing
the flap first.

I asked Jim Butcher about wing wiring and he said to " See Europa Tech Talk
Issue 41, March 2004." well, the new web site does not go back that far.
Everybody have a copy of it? I'm wiring the canoe and want to place the
wing wiring in before I put the top on. I have the three lite wing tip
strobes and trim motor and VHF antenna in one wing. If anybody has the Tech
Talk article I'd like a copy or if somebody has a picture to share with me
that would help.

Pete/Graham,
Ah, the light bulb goes on...yes, de-rigging the wing surely helps!

UK pilots should have had a heads up about the upcoming changes to ATC
procedures, via Gasil, but foreign visitors may have missed it. The
following site offers a thorough briefing:
