supplies? Hi Ron, Don't even have an antenna yet so no results and still counting on luck. From your link it would appear that the Kunzleman switching power supply radiates some at radio frequencies. You probably should determine whether that is your problem too. Separation will help, orientation may help. Regards, Jan de Jong

You might want to check out Hi-Tech Foams. These are the folks usually seen at the air shows that make configurations for most kits. They're a bit pricey but may be worth it for the comfort. US$259 for the Europa configuration, both seats. www.seatfoam.com Jim or Janice Fix, Lincoln, NE 402-470-2346 Dan Visit - www.EuropaOwners.org

Subject: Use of Transponder TRIG TT31 Mode S
Hi Europa Family Walter Swoboda / Germany has installed in his Classic Monowheel the TRIG TT31. Is there somebody who is using the same Transponder and is this Transponder already registered for use in a Europa? If so, please send the Approval Letter. In this case Walter can use this also for his Europa showing the LBA and has not to do the quite expensive and time killing Flight Tests for this Transponder. Many thanks for help in this matter. All the Best to all of you, Bruno

Thanks for those kind people like Pete and Jeff who helped me to find light and some serial data. I confirm that at least in my particularly case (Garmin 296) there was not really any data trafic when in simulation mode. With real satellites there is but only in line data out 2 (com 2). That was violet wire and all the other (?) Garmins use blue one. Original cable included only red + black, so the multi wire data cable was necessary to purchase. NMEA advanced set upp was just like Trio suggested to do. One little thing more: my plane is in hangar and cannot move it out. I borrowed a boat type external GPS satellite antenna with 50 feet cable, connected it to my GPS and put it out. That worked well. So, no more "no GPS" messages any more in my API. Next one will be easy. Raimo OH-XRT with API, CS-prop under construction

Dan, I can't seem to get their website to work. It's not your link. I have them in my favorites with the same results. I get the website, but lots of errors and very limited movement page to page. Might be something temporary. I would'nt mind an easy airplane solution (like let them do it) about now. Isn't that $259 just for the foam: no upholsetry. Gary On Wed, 18 Feb 2009 14:05:26 +0200 "danbish" <bdanbish@gmail.com> writes: > > You might want to check out Hi-Tech Foams. The factory stall warner is adjustable, and included in the package is a comprehensive instruction on how to find the proper settings. To my disappoint i found out however, that there was nothing to adjust, in other words the setting as received was spot-on! Regards, Jos Okhuijsen Visit - www.EuropaOwners.org

$259 sounds like a good deal. Using 1" of blue & 1" of green Confor foam, 16 x 18, for the seats, and 1" of uphostery foam for the back (rolled around a core of blue and green cut-offs for lumbar support)...plus assorted uphostery foam wedges...I think I spent close to $300. I allowed the seat foam to cantilever forward of the thigh support for additional thigh support for my long legs. Seat backs are separate, and (temporarily) supported by foam blocks in photo. That Confor foam is really great stuff...very comfortable. Fred A194 Roll 52 - 69 -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean.

Hi Troy We ordered seat cushions from Europa. Needed to make a rear seat support out of blue foam and balsa. The idea of the balsa is when we install Teleflex long wing airbrake cables, can hog out blue foam and the balsa should be able to cantelever load more "thinly" than can blue foam. The seat base is blue foam with plywood covering. Idea is that "stuff" is going to be below the plywood and blue foam is easy to cut pockets in. I am happy with Factory seats after fabricating lumbar insert, comfort is good, lumbar support is good. There are four easy configurations, no base insert just seat base, a 1" insert, a 2" insert, and both the 1" and 2" insert. I am 68" tall and with 1" insert I am happy. Wayne is happy with 2" insert. We purchased pump up lumbar support, not very nice valve arrangement. After fooling with them and both failing, can custom adjust lumbar support very easily with wedges of cushy foam if need b I like the idea Graham Singleton has of using a Bean Bag or Styrofoam peanut bag and will try both of them. I am pretty sure Europa would know dimensions needed for seat base and back after having to redo mine, but you would be better off reminding them what is needed. I have most information you need documented at: http://www.europaowners.org/modules.php?set_albumName=album228&op=modload&name=gallery&file=index&include=view_album.php Ron Parigoris Visit - www.EuropaOwners.org

supplies? I too have a Kunzelman power supply mounted under the baggage bay, however, the noise signature is almost non-existent. The only time I can really hear it is at idle. I have a Bob Archer "E" com antenna located just aft of the bulkhead on the same side as the power supply (S.B.) Not sure why I don't have a problem. I do have the Whelen wing tip combo position light/strobes installed, however, if memory serves me I used the wire offered by Kunzelman. I wired it all per Kunzelman's instruction. Any ideas on how to filter out 100 milivolt spike that is very very sharp with a duration of ~ 75 miliseconds coming from Kuntzleman strobe power supply, then radiating from power lines and getting into my antenna? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Getting closer to resolve to my tick, tick, ticking coming from Kuntzleman strobe. First off It is the Vertex VXA-700 that breaks squelch. I called factory today and they said when you put an aircraft antenna on them, they are sensative. Next is high voltage from power supply, believe it or not, using the shielded cable from Kuntzleman, dosen't matter much if you have 1 foot or 25 feet, it just dosen't radiate that much. The power supply radiates a lot no matter how you ground things, but 8 feet away with antenna under worst case and 6 feet away under best case fixes tick, tick, ticking. So power supplies will live in wingtips away from antennas. The power wires are the culprit at the moment! First off I am running Vertex on internal battery so it is not dirty radio supply power causing problem, it is RF jumping off the supply lines getting into antenna! Using shielded wire for supply has more RF jumping off compared to twisted pair no matter how I grounded shield! Can't explain it but it is so. Using twisted pair with optimum grounding, now has ticking only happening on lower and higher frequencies. Observing supply power at battery on a scope, there are very very sharp spikes 100 milivolts, with a duration of about 75 miliseconds that equate perfectly to Vertex VXA-700 breaking squelch. Anyone have any ideas on how I can filter this out? And where to get parts needed? I guess I will need two filters, one for each power supply at the wingtips. Ron P. Visit - www.EuropaOwners.org
