I would like to revert to the standard way, but the manual is not very clear to me, with no detailed drawing. Any indications, pictures, tips and tricks... will be welcome. Jean I took my lines up the tunnel straight into the engine bay through the stainless firewall. My system does not have the standard filters in the seat pan neither the standard sight gauge. I have Andair Mini Gascolators but Mine is now dedicated to be a trike so if you are Mono construction you may not be able to do it this way? All my fuel module is on a tray in the unused wheel well. Going throuhg the stainless firewall is messy and stainless steel tends to cut things, not good imho. I am using Aeroquip 666 hose. http://www.europaowners.org/modules.php?set_albumName=album227&op=modload&name=gallery&file=index&include=view_album.php It is in a XS with 914 with both long and short. 914 pumps and gasculators aft. http://www.europaowners.org/modules.php?set_albumName=album231&op=modload&name=gallery&file=index&include=view_album.php Ron Parigoris ________________________________ Message 5 _____________________________________ Time: 08:58:23 AM PST US Subject: Europa-List: Bungee cord type From: Paul McAllister Hi all, The bungee cords on my Mono have been installed for 4 years, and are probably 10 years old from date of manufacture. I was thinking of installing new ones while I have the engine off. I was was wondering if anyone happened to know what equivalent the part number from Aircraft Spruce or Wicks would be for the same cord. Yes, I could buy them from Europa, but it doesn't seem to make much sense having it shipped from the UK, particularly since it was probably shipped to Europa from the US in the first place. But if there develops a leak for whatever reason, whether in flight or after a crash landing, you are sitting with your feets in a bath tub. Not good imho too. -- Frans Veldman ________________________________ Message 8 _____________________________________ Time: 10:53:32 AM PST US From: "yannick LAURENS" Subject: Re: Europa-List: Bungee cord type When I have changed my bungee chords, I have bought it from a shipchandler, they have a good choice, same quality, and that works very well, for 2 years, (I made 1 loop more) yannick LAURENS F PSCZ ----- Original Message ----- From: Paul McAllister To: europa-list@matronics.com Sent: Sunday, April 12, 2009 5:56 PM Subject: Europa-List: Bungee cord type Hi all, The bungee cords on my Mono have been installed for 4 years, and are probably 10 years old from date of manufacture. I think you will find that the A/S 5/16" shock cord is what you need, p/n06-12300, this has a blue stripe and seems stiffer than the bungee supplied with the kit The 3/8" has a pink stripe and is very stiff, both cords measure more than indicated, the 3/8 seems to be 1/2". I am trying to maximize the tiny instrument panel volume and have come across my nemesis, the small rotating disc housing the turbo control cable on the motor sitting on the centre mount - quite starboard. To mount the panel, I have carved out the base of the panel but now observe that the 2inches or so (5-6cm) excess to the disc would appear to flail about when the controller is adjusting the gate. Since this was all mounted according to the Europa instructions I suspect I'm not the only one. Thing is, can I nip a bit off what appears to be excess cable? ... or will I find somewhere down the build I shouldn't have touched its precious self? That trim would give me a couple more cubic inches of space for other devices. What did you do? I measured my stuff (which has a blue stripe) and it came out at 3/8" so I was about to purchase 3/8 shock cord from ACS. From what your telling me it looks like I need to buy the 5/16.
