Thats great Tony, something was telling me to get up and pick up my mail this morning!!
A direct connection to the Dynon makes sense. I will feed some power into it remotely
and check its output with a meter before I connect it up, but hopefully
I can finalise that part of the wiring.
Thanks everybody else for your input, a little help from the forum can save a lot
of head scratching.
Richard

The westach capacitance gauges with integral electronics output 0-5v which is compatible
with the dynon input.

Apologies for tagging onto this thread, but has anybody out there had any
experience with connecting capacitance probes to a dynon 180?
The Dynon requires a 0-5 volt varying input and the probes are capacitance
type from Pete at Airworld ie resistive type. Dynon have advised their
resistance to voltage converter is not suitable and Pete says dynon should
know?!
I know some of you are worldly wise in the electrics side and might have
encountered this one and I don't want additional analogue gauges.
Any advice would be appreciated

Subject: Europa-List: apologies for card processing problems
My apologies to all those who've been
encountering problems with processing of card
payments on the Europa Club website since about
26th April, when the new faster servers went
online.
I think all those affected are:
Bob Gowing
Bob Borger
Jan Elmn
Kent Svensson
Herbert Habersatter
Greg Fuchs
Kingsley Hurst
Arnold Hansen
Chris Staines
Peter Hodgson
yvind Aasgaard
I neglected to update some vital server addresses
at changeover time and that caused card
transactions to fail.
I have now corrected the necessary files and
checked that the transaction mechanism is
working, so it should be OK to try again.
I'm sorry I didn't spot this issue sooner and
take prior action to prevent all the trouble
people have experienced.
You may have noticed that the payment processing
firm is in process of changing its name from
Protx to Sage Pay - the appropriate parts of the
Europa Club website will be updated to match in
due course.
regards
Rowland

Subject: | Dynon 180, Tonyk fuelgauge - and the future of kit #272 |
Greetings all,
As a number of people have asked about Dynon interfacing over the weekend I have posted the updated fuel gauge circuit diagram on my website at www.kaon.co.nz/europa/fuelgaugev5.pdf
My plane has a new owner. I am about to fit mod 74 to the wings and, once that
has been done she will be leaving and going down to Chris Cameron in Wellington
for completion.
To the many people, too numerous to mention individually, that provided me with
guidance, encouragement, entertainment, friendship and accommodation around the
world over the period of construction I give you my deepest thanks.
Ivan Shaw once told me that building the plane wasn't just about bits of metal
and fibreglass but it was about the people that will surround you along the way.
He was right. The Europa family around the world is one of the greatest communities
that I know and it has been an honour and a privilege to be in your company.
I will not be leaving the group as I'm continuing to represent Europa here in NZ
until they get tired of me, and also feel that my construction experience may
still be useful to some. My builders website will also be remaining online for
those who use it as reference material.
With warmest regards
Tony
