Hi Alex, I have a Europa Monowheel and it has a manual push rods for the flaps. At one time I did seriously consider converting my Europa to a conventional tail dragger and I purchased a Motion Systems actuator based off the recommendation from Bob Berbue. I can go to my hanger and go and check its specifications if you would like me to, however I used the information from Bob which may or may not be the same as what Europa factory specifies. I assume that the part / model number has been removed from your actuator ? One more suggestion, you might like to contact Bob Berbue at Flight Crafter's and ask him, or, perhaps put a note on the forum to the guys that have conventional tail dragger's and ask them what actuator they used. Let me know if you would like me to go check the part number for the actuator that I have. Paul

John, Surely that: http://www.matronics.com/fuelchec/dampener.html. Is a flow Damper, not a dampener. It damps the pressure I believe, unless of course it's sprinkling Holy Water on the fuel flow indicator........ Is my English out of date? Cheers, Ferg

By all means block the air below the oil cooler, not the radiator... You will be well served to lower the oil cooler as far as possible (2 inches is normal, but each cowl is different) to get best cooling. My preference is to make a 1.5 inch sheet of .016 stainless full length across the oil cooler. Bend it 3/4" to form a ramp to the bottom of the cowl. It will flex to make a great seal. Do I need to block this off thus directing all the airflow through the rad then the oil cooler or should I wait and see how the temps read in flight first? I would be interested to have reports from those currently flying. I kind of worked it the other way. I glued a strip of trunk sealing rubber, left over from an auto restoration, to the bottom of the water radiator and lowered it enough to mash the rubber tight against the cowl, then filled the sides of the cooler with foam and siliconed them in. Nothing gets past without first going through the cooler. Temps will go up on hot days, but nothing above the limits... Jeff - Baby Blue... Back together and flight testing this weekend. PS Fred: Fairing tests will be complete, though not permanently installed, for Rough River, barring any problems with the bird... Erich, Great to hear it was a good time with all the more builders than last year. A380 was interesting and great landing!! Hope to be back at Oshkosh within 5 years probably with 2 keen boys as well. Cheers, Tim Tim Ward 12 Waiwetu Street Fendalton Christchurch.
